It has been my heart's cry and desire to be able to bring at least one soul to Jesus and will be able to help her grow in the grace and knowledge of God before finishing my contract here in Hong Kong. There has been some several times that I was able to witness and lead some few already since I got born again, but I was not really given the enough time and opportunity to help them grow. I even haven't known if they had really committed their lives to God or not.
This weekend, I receive a text message from a lady whom I met in the airport last time when I came back to Hong Kong. I gave her my number before departing that time. Her message was she wants to go with me for this weekend's Holiday and help her roam around in different places since she's very new here (only three weeks). At first meeting, I could say that such kind of a person is not the one whom I would really spend my time with. But carrying the message of the Gospel in me, I know that she's one of whom Jesus is seeking among the lost. So praying to God, I presented this soul to Him as one who is sick, lost and in desperate need of the Lord's love and salvation. In short, I gave her my interest and invited her to our Church. We set the time and place where I could pick her up. LOL she wanted me to pick her up as early as 6am - sleep is still sweet that time so I bid her up to 7:30. Oh wow that is the earliest time I came out from the house on a holiday! Usually I would go out around 8-8:30 on holidays.
I picked her up almost 8am already (hehe). Upon our meeting, she already started to tell of her hard times, what she’s going through with the household she’s serving, her daughter (17y/o) got an accident (on a motorbike) in need of operation due to a blood clot on her brain (just a small dot but enough to threaten her well-being if not removed), and how she needed provision. I cannot say any word but to listen.
So we attended the general service and after that she and the other first timers were accommodated by some staffs of the Church for a short orientation and seminar on God’s love and salvation. And wow, the preaching this morning almost just suit her situation especially on the preacher’s personal testimony on her mother’s death due to a blood clot in her brain after a high blood pressure attack. What a coincidence? Hearing the message been praying desperately to God in the Spirit on behalf of her daughter’s condition that as if I’m the mother of that child?
After attending to some more little gatherings, I helped her to get some things she needed and guided her in places where she should go. She’s been very thankful and said as if she’s really very happy today. Her stress was gone and her burden was lifted. She asked if I could help and guide her more, she wanted to learn more. I said yes with all of my support, as long as she will not run off. LOL.
I just can’t help to praise and thank the Lord for this. Before we finally departed this afternoon, she got a call from her agency giving some sort of disturbing thoughts and fears about her employment status (it seems that her agency is a buy-one take-one agency… grrrr). I told her all she need is to do what is right in her job with all of her best, we will pray, wait and see the Lord would back her up against that agency. If not, God can provide a better employer for her. I just hoped so she’s now God’s answer to my prayer and desire to at least have one disciple before l would Hong Kong and go to the next place the Lord would lead me to go. Amen. Praise the Lord!!
All things work together also for me because if not of her life I will not be able to get up earlier than I should. So I made a commitment to at least pick her up as early as 7 o’clock on Sundays and by that I will no longer get late attending the first Service of our Church to where I know the Lord has placed and called me to be. I also thank the Lord for all the brethren in my group who gave her a warm welcome and support. They were also happy because they have been praying for me to get early to attend the devotion and intercessory before the Church Service would begin at 9 o'clock. It is also my desire but can't helped really getting up earlier getting late even more and would resort up to the third service around 2-4pm already. LOL. Glory to God because at one time during a service the Lord had spoken to me and said "My child I've been waiting for you patiently until the time that you are ready again to respond to my calling". Yay. I cried a tear. Maybe this is now the time the Lord been waiting for me to respond again. Amen and amen!!!!
To God be all the honor, glory, power, praise and thanksgiving in Jesus wonderful name. Amen
