I wanted to share this as I was reading Mark 6 45-52 and I was amazed how it says they were terrified and even 'the disciples hearts were hardened' when they saw him walking on the water. After seeing him feed 5000, raise a girl from the dead and cast out demons, they forgot so quickly.
So I thought I would write this down. It is God acting in small ways but so obviously. I work for a Christian organisation called IFES and we have have just had a global envisioning conference. I had to help the national leaders from francophone Africa get to Malaysia, flights, visa etc - it is always tough for them to get visas unfortunately. We saw God intervene on at least three occasions to make this happen.
The first was two guys from Ivory Coast who needed visas. They phoned the embassy in Ghana (the country next door) but was told they couldn't go there they would have to go to Nigeria (very far away). I phoned up on their behalf and was told no they would have to go to Guinea (even further!!!). Finally my colleague in Malaysia managed to get the name of the top person in the embassy in Ghana and emailed her. She was a true angel. She not only agreed for them to come into the embassy, but allowed them to apply on a day when the office wasn't officially open and then processed their application the same day (normally it takes up to 4 days). So they were able to make it for the start of the conference!
I'll leave it there as I don't know how interesting this is to others. I really wanted to make sure I wrote it down and remembered though so my heart is not 'hardened' to God at work in my life and those around me.
We should pray in faith and expectation of God doing amazing things
