You've more than likely done this already, but have you tried going to the bible passage and prayerfully meditating on the context of it?

No, I did ask Jesus directly for what purpose is this? But so far silence. This has been going on for many weeks now.

Ok. Maybe that and looking up similar verses to that one, there are some in the NT, or the Lord may draw your attention to something else. May God bless your studies.

Good Morning @Gregoryp .... for that is what it is for me 
@SeekerofTruth gave you an excellent advise. I find that when the Lord speaks to me in that way "You are the vessel of the most high God" ... I try to find verses that pertain to what He trying to communicate. In Proverbs 25: 2 [TPT] it reads,
God conceals the revelation of his word in the hiding place of his glory.
But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.
As I read it the word "vessel", I thought of a potter who makes them which can be found in the Bible. Also there were vessels that were used in the Temple. There are many ideas in how you can do your search. Just ask the Lord to guide you. He will faithful to show you. I will admit though to read the words "You are the vessel of the most high God" is a wonderful. So don't be perplexed.
Will be praying that the Lord will give you the revelation as you dive deeper into His hiding place.

Oh PS... keep a journal on this. I've been keeping journal for most of my walk with the Lord and find it to be very helpful.
