This Friday we are going to discuss the physical appearance of us humans. How important are looks and what does God say about it? Here are some verses in the Bible that you should check out and read and prepare for the discussion.

In God’s eyes, all He has made is beautiful so you can’t judge yourself of others by their looks:
• Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
• John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.
Don’t look at the world and try to be as beautiful as them or anything. Also the fashion, it wont last long anyway:
• Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
• 1 Corinthians 7:11 and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.
God always looks on the inside not outside, you’re already beautiful on the outside, after all, He made you!
• 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
• Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
• 1 Timothy 2:9-10 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
• 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
• 1 Peter 3:4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Try to study those places, really think through them, ask God to tell you what they mean, and be ready to discuss your thoughts, feelings, opinions and questions on the physical appearance of humans on Friday, 4:00 PST, GMT-8
