I need some prayers please. It is a long personal story::embarasse
My dad died two years ago and left us 100% broke. The following year, my cousin Andy (30) moved in with us along with his wife, Amy (29), and their three children (Trinity age 6, Tia age 9, and Amber age11.) Since then, we have had good times and bad. But most of all, my mom and I have finally found a family. But, we have some major problems-
This past September my mom’s world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with not only Diabetes type II, but also extreme spinal stenosis (“a condition due to narrowing of the spinal cord causing severe nerve pinching which leads to persistent pain in the buttocks, limping, lack of feeling in the lower extremities, and decreased physical activity.”) and degenerative disc disease in her back.
Because of this pain, we went to see a muscular specialist in order to be able and help her. The doctor told her that she could go through an I.D.D. machine- an experimental therapy to heal her spine. Deciding to do this, my mom consented to doing the therapy. She had to go through extreme physical pain for five days a week- in order to stop the degenerating of her spine. At the end, my mom’s spine was totally healed and 100% perfect. But sadly, there had already been too much damage done to her spine, and too much time of not being able to walk- and as a result, she no longer can. She still suffers from extreme muscle spasms in her thighs, groin, feet and legs. She can no longer walk as she is now wheelchair bound because of this.
During all of this, my mom also found out some very bad news- she found out that she has been diabetic for over ten years, and her doctor never told her. She needed to have emergency laser surgery immediately on her eyes. It turns out, that she was bleeding behind her eyes. In order to prevent blindness, she had to undergo emergency laser surgery. We currently use Food stamps, and can barely make ends meet, or the house payments. I have never had a job, and I can’t seem to get one, as it seems that you already need experience for every job I apply for. I keep applying for jobs, but it does no good.
Then, a few problems this summer happened- I got sick, and had to be hospitalized for four days due to bad stomach ulcers, and intestinal problems. Three of my adopted sisters both needed serious medical attention and surgeries- Amy broke her elbow and had to have knee surgery to remove lose cartilage around the bone of her kneecap. Tia, the 9 year old, needed to have emergency surgery to remove a growth on her back over the secondary sinus canal, and Trinity the 6 year old had multiple ENT surgeries. She had to have tubes put in both of her ears, and then she had to have both her tonsils and adenoids removed. All of these hospitalizations and surgeries happened within two months time.
And then we then had some unplanned financial problems occur. We had decided to start a family business in real estate. We would buy houses that were in foreclosure and then rent them out to people who needed homes. My adopted brother, Andy, decided to study so he would be able to get his loan officer license to be able to buy and sell houses. In good faith, my mom Andy, and I went to an auction and bought a house- much to our dismay; we were not allowed to keep this house because it was a manufactured house. So we lost the money that we had used in good faith to buy the house.
Trying to survive, my adopted brother tried to still get his license. He was only able to take the test once- the man that was going to hire him for a job got fired. As the saying goes “When it rains, it pours” was definitely applied to us. On top of the medical problems, and the financial problems, we yet again had more to deal with- both family cars broke, our fridge broke, and the garage door got busted in. It seemed that no matter which direction we turned all we got was bad luck.
What I need, is a ton or prayers please.
