Hi,
I have asked Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart 3 years ago. I still feel so lost. I didn't grow up in church and I feel so guilty for that. I read my bible and ask God to help me. I don't know if I am trying to learn it all too fast or if God is really the one having me to seek Him. I am so depressed over this. I cry out to God to show me and to help me. I feel guilty for even trying to get to know Him. What should I do? One day I feel happy and the next, its like so many doubts come to my mind. Am I supposed to keep on seeking Him and praying? I don't want to give up! I have come to far to give up now! Has anyone else felt this way or is it just me? I am desperate! I don't want to die in my sin and go to hell !! My preacher passed away almost 2 years ago and I feel as though I don't have anyone to talk to. We have a new preacher, but its not the same for some reason. I am afraid I will be judged. What should I do? Please pray for me..If you feel as if God gives you a word for me, please tell me! Help me..O' Lord please help me!

It's not by our effort that we have peace with God, God made a way through Christ Jesus, He is the way.

We all stand short or missed the mark, that is why God made a way through his Son Jesus.

It is not about if you came through a christian background or if you did not. It is about believing that God made a way through his Son Jesus.

We all stand guilty before God in our own efforts, it is God that makes a different in one's life.

Each day is a new day, a new beginning, a new start, God arms are reaching out and hearing those who calls upon Him.

I am desperate! I don't want to die in my sin and go to hell !!

I was born with a neurological disorder that causes clumsiness. Running was risky when I was a boy because I was subject to tripping and falling. It was very embarrassing, not to mention the pain of skinned elbows and knees. However, if I kept looking ahead instead of worrying about who or what was behind me, I had a better chance of keeping my balance and finishing the run successfully.

This is true of our lives as Christians, as well. If the devil can keep us looking backward as we run our race, he has a good chance of impeding our growth as believers. The apostle Paul, who had horrendous obstacles to deal with in his ministry, gave us good advice on how to handle fear and discouragement. In his letter to the Philippians, he compared his ministry to running in a sports competition and said, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."(Phil 3:13b-14 NIV).

HI

I pray to Jesus that he will bind satan and his demons, by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and through His Power. Satan is trying to confuse you because he hates seeing people turn to God. Repent of your sins, believe with all your heart that Jesus knew your name at the time of His crucifiction, even before time began he knew you already!!!

Also believe with all your heart that you are free because He died on that cross, and you can have Everlasting Life. Keep seeking Him, keep praying to Him, remember to ask that His will be done, and He will answer you.

If you need any prayer or need help with direction in your life, you can gladly post your questions on the forum, or send me a pm. REmember I can only direct you to Jesus, He alone cane Heal and Save you. He is King and all Power and Glory to our Lord. Forever and ever, Amen!!

Hi pray for me!

There is not one thing we can do to make ourselves worthy of salvation.

There is not one thing we can do to pay the price for our sins.

There is not one thing we can do to make ourselves clean befroe a Holy God.

So what must we do?
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We must accept the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ as our own. We must receive this forgiveness as a love gift, walk away from the old life and receive new life from God. He took our sin and imparted His righteousness to all who believe.
A believer in Jesus Christ may now stand in the presence of the Father because the when the Father looks at us He sees the righteousness of His own Son.
In Christ we are accepted in the beloved. He has become wisdom, sanctification, righteousness:
1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

The New Testament Epistles are a love letter to the church. Take the following verses (they were written to you so I have personalized them for you) and receive the truth of God's Word by faith. In doing so your spiritual eyes will begin to be opened to the work that God Himself is doing inside of you:

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 That he would grant to (your name here), according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that to (your name here), being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that to (your name here) might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that to (your name here) ask or think, according to the power that worketh in to (your name here),
Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed (your name here) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen (your name here) in him before the foundation of the world, that (your name here) should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated (your name here) unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made (your name here) accepted in the beloved.
Eph 1:7 In whom (your name here) have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward to (your name here)
in all wisdom and prudence;
Eph 1:9 Having made known unto (your name here) the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 1:11 In whom also (your name here) have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Eph 1:12 That (your name here) should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13 In whom (your name here) also trusted, after that (your name here) heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that (your name here) believed, (your name here) were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of (your name here) inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Eph 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto (your name here) the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of (your name here) understanding being enlightened; that (your name here) may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to (your name here) who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 2:1 And (your name here) hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past (your name here) walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also (your name here) all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph 2:5 Even when (your name here) were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised (your name here) up together, and made (your name here) sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward (your name here) through Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are (your name here) saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For (your name here) are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that (your name here) should walk in them.

Col 3:1 If (your name here) then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 (your name here) Sets your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For (your name here) are dead, and (your name here)life is hid with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall (your name here) also appear with him in glory.
Col 3:5 (your name here) Mortiies therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Col 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Col 3:7 In the which(your name here) also walked some time, when(your name here) lived in them.
Col 3:8 But now (your name here) also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that (your name here) have put off the old man with his deeds;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Col 3:12 (your name here) Puts on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do .(your name here)
Col 3:14 And above all these things (your name here)puts on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in (your name here) heart, to the which also (your name here) are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in(your name here) richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in (your name here) heart to the Lord.
Col 3:17 And whatsoever (your name here) does in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

"Submit yourself, then, to God. resist the devil and he will flee from you." (Jas 4:7 NIV)

I avoid trying to go toe-to-toe with Satan. He's an archangel, I'm a mere man. He's more powerful than me. But, if I resist him - if I turn my mind away from him and toward the Lord - he ends up defeated. It may take awhile, but, he will leave.

Great posting, SpiritLedEd!

It took me awhile to realize that becoming a Christian involved more than just saying the sinner's prayer. I was always hungry for more, but was not encouraged to actively do anything more to grow in my newfound faith. Until someone started coaching me.

I learned that I had to seek to know God in a personal way, so that He became my friend, and so that I could love Him with all my heart, like I heard so many say they did. When you have a friend, you don't just meet him and then never spend time with him, get to know him better, talk with him, etc. That's what it takes to grow in your faith. Forget about the enemy of your soul. He can only take from you what you give him. So pay him no mind! Instead, stick your head in the Bible and "learn of Him."

Fear was also one of my enemies. Fear of doing something wrong like praying in the wrong way or posting something stupid, etc. I had to take it slowly and learn the basics, build my house on the rock so to speak. It's an exciting walk once you get on the edge and trust what He will do for you.

Reading is no problem for me either, I'm a book worm. So read, read, read. The Bible is like a magic potion. It's words are filled with power and will fill your heart with peace and give you strength. God will not take you some place where you will stumble, trust Him. And know that stumbling is a learning experience and you will do that once in a while on your own. Look forward to your exciting new journey and don't let fear keep you down. Praying for ya! Keep posting.

If thou know not, O thou fairest among women,Go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock - song of songs (1:8)-

Follow the sheaps not the wolves, follow the love of your heart not the weakness, Love good and stay away from death.

I remember the days of old;I meditate on all thy doings;I muse on the work of thy hands -Psalm 143:5

Maybe a child can give us an idea of love and meditation by his astounished look on his face when seeing a small sparrow or a big dog, maybe we don't feel lord because we cann't get surprised of his amazing work in heavens and on earth any more, maybe we must try to remmber and meditate so we keep our love and hearts warm and alife.

Trusting god is the first thing u must do

I can understand what you are going through. It isn't easy to follow in Jesus footsteps as Satan doesn't want that as he knows the *appointed time* is near and soon he will be bound for 1000 years.

:groupwave:The first thing to do is trust God. Stop feeling guilty, that is what Satan wants so that you feel not good enough to even go to church.

Get on your knees! Fast! Pray! Pray! Pray! for God to put His armor of protection around you, ask Him every nite when you go to bed and every morning as you get up.

:angryfly:Satan doesn't want you to go see the new preacher. He is making you feel that you will be judged. Don't you see that he is doing all he can to blind you and make you think God doesn't want you.

A preacher isn't there to judge you..lest he be judged by God. On the contrary he is there to help you to be found righteous before God.

TRUST GOD! That is the one thing you are not doing. Just give your life to Him, tell Him He can do with you what He sees fit and do whatever He tells you.

Read your Bible everyday..pray then just open it and read what your eyes fall upon. Many times I have done this and always what I needed. Sometimes I didn't understand what I was reading had anything to do with me, but got the answer later as I read it over and over..until it dawned on me..the understanding is like when the nite is over and dawn appears.

:angel-animated:Don't try so hard. God wants you to be happy serving Him. Ask forgiveness everyday. When you worry pray, when you're happy ..pray ., when you are about to eat..pray and ask God to bless the food He gave you, bless the people who worked hard for the food to get to you, thank Him for His graciousness, His patience, His love, His kindness towards you.

Thank Him not only for the good but also the bad because it made you see what you did wrong so you don't do it again.

There is a great place on the net called Tomorrows World where you can listen to telecasts on any subject that you are in need of knowing. That is where I get my inspiration and have given my life to Christ completely. You can listen everyday, read online or receive free any literature you need.

We must fill ouselves with the Truth of God as we are in the world and to stay out of it we must stay in God's world, His Bible, His people, His church.

Stop judging yourself..God loves you. All He wants is that you let Him show you.

:handshake:Let Him in as you let the sunshine in when you open your curtain windows.

Trust me on this..God will do all for you, if you let Him. But, you must listen when He does and obey.

Check yourself and see what you are not doing that you are supposed to. Don't try to change all at once. Take one thing..work on it until it is okay..then go to the next. Work towards perfection..we won't ever be in this world but God said to work *towards* being perfect so when we do get into His kingdom it will be much easier to attain perfection.

:sure:Trust is the key.

Excellent work..very good indeed. Boanerges.. lots of time spent on writing all those verses..

Fretting is unpleasant

Hey little one....be still.

Jesus loves you.

The Lord did not take your pastor from this world to leave you adrift or alone. Get to know the pastor God has placed in the church you attend.

Stop staring into the mirror and wondering if you are who or what you are "supposed" to be to reach God. It just isn't about you.

Jesus LOVES you.

You're not good enough.
You're not strong enough.
You're not pure enough.
You're not wise enough.
You can't be.
None of us can.

The entire *point* and proof of His love is that while we were yet sinners, He came for us. He died for us. He lay down His life for us, even though no one and nothing could have killed him but by His allowance.

He came for you.

In person.
In the flesh.

Don't worry about what future sins you may commit. ALL your sins were "future" sins when He went to the cross for you. He didn't miss any. As you study Him and grow closer to Him, you will make wiser choices. You will avoid a few things that probably wouldn't have been sin anyway just to be safe. You'll do a few things that probably are sin because some old choices will have future consequences in association and habit...but He knew you would and He loves you anyway.

Jesus loves you.

He is good enough.
He is strong enough.
He is wise enough.
He is pure enough.

He is so much the absolute pinnacle of these things that they've rubbed off on you. His righteousness is now yours because you have asked Him to live within you and guide you.

Trust Him to do as you have asked, then shush up all this needless worrying and listen for His answer.

Trust is the key.

This is the crux of your dilemma. You aren't trusting that you have been saved. Satan is doing everything he can to make you question your salvation. He's a sly old dog...even the smallest wrong thought can get you going in the wrong direction. And that's what he wants! One thing I do is imagine him (and/or his demons) laughing at me when I get into sin or begin to question my salvation. And that makes me mad! How dare he!! That stops me in my tracks and helps me realize it's all just a ploy to lead me away from God and his love.

As others said, put forth a little trust in the new pastor. Try getting to know him a little at a time. He's a man of the cloth, called by God to serve His people and you are one of them. Give him a chance to help you.

Stop feeling guilty for not having gone to church as a child. That was your parent's failing, not yours! My parents never took me to church as a child, but I don't feel guilty about it. So get rid of that guilt and move on. It's not worth the trouble! Besides, God doesn't want us feeling guilty about anything.

You seem to be going in too many directions with this. The first thing you should do is pray about this, ask forgiveness for all this quilt you have; release it to God and forget about it! When God forgives you, he forgets your sins; why should you keep bringing it up? Let it go and let God abide in your heart. He can't dwell in you with all this mess going on inside you...another reason Satan is hard at work trying to trip you up! He knows if he keeps at it long enough, keep you doubting yourself and your salvation, you'll give up and then he'll have you where he wants you.

Don't let that happen! As others said, take things one at a time. Let yourself grow in the Lord and He will take care of you every step of the way!

Pray for me... a walk with Jesus takes a long time. Don't hurry, keep your focus on Jesus and pray that He will help you grow. Always pray and ASK Jesus to help you grow and learn His ways. Jesus Will help you.
There was a point in my life that I had to read these scriptures every day and pray for God to "put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil". Ephesians 6:10-18 Ask God to pour the Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ over you everyday. We are in a fight my friend, but we have an Almighty God to battle for us. God bless you precious child of God, you are in my prayers.

Right now Jesus is praying for You!

A long time ago Jesus left this earth after dying on the cross for the judgment that was meant for us. Now that we asked for his mercy and grace through calling out to the Lord Jesus for salvation, seeing that we did repent But wait he is no longer now here on earth to love. He left us. What should we do? But before he left he promise to send the Holy Spirit to comfort us. This is why he left.
Jesus said, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."
So dear please help me remember the Lord is praying for you and remember the Holy Spirit is available for you. Ask God, like we all did here, to show you his ways through the Holy Spirits touch, voice, in your life daily. Ask God to strengthen you to read his word asking him to show you more of who he is. Ask God to open the eyes of your heart. And you know what God will show you and then your heart will want to please God more and more each day in your obedience to what he shows you. You will be following his leading by His Spirit. You will fall a lot of times, again like we all did here, but his strength is made perfect in our weakness. Throw yourself at the mercy of the cross asking for his grace to be revealed to you.
Did you know since your a child of God now God is merciful to you? Did you know now again since your a child of God he will show you his grace? This is who Jesus IS! This is God's plan of salvation. Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Are you one? Did you make a decision to tell God you have sin in your life and that you do not want it anymore and that you want the Lord Jesus? If your one who repented and placed your faith in Jesus your entitled to God supplying all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus!
A promise from the mouth of God to you.

HI,

I go through your message, I also feel the same way sometime happy sometime desperate sometime confuse and so on on ..... but i know thing for sure its our trial and we have to stand firm.

Am not good in writing or speech but one thing I know that what ever we do God is there to help us and guide us. I will pray for you coz I know your problem.

take care

greetings fellow believer:) there is a verse of Scripture that i meditate upon from time to time for just such occasions as these. John 14:18 which states, "I will not leave you comfortless..." the word for comfortless can also be translated as orphan. your Lord has not left you fatherless. you are His treasure, His great Love in Christ. you are the apple of His eye.

i really love the way paul speaks of it when he makes reference to us being a wild branch grafted into the domestic vine. our Lord said that we were grafted into the heart of the vine. you need to understand that you are and have been put deep into His Heart. if i can say it this way, you are closer to Him than His very breath. indeed you are brought to His attention at His every heart beat because that is where you are, His Heart!!! i know God doesn't actually breath or have a heart beat but you get the point, i know.

no vessel has a price unto itself. it's value is determined by the one who purchases it. He gave His life for you. that is what you mean to Him. He is always saying :heart6:

hi!

hey mate! don't give up praying and seeking god :). why does it matter if he doesn't show up to you :P maybe because you already know he does exist and so and you just must trust in him. i really believe if you keep seeking him he will show up to you. and many other christian have had many many years before jesus has showed himself to them. like 20+ years or so. you just have to believe with all your hearth. jesus said there is parts in your life when you feel he is away but he is not. you can just close your eyes and start praising his name and holy spirit enters you. love and peace to your life! and many blessings!!!!

God knows all about your life. Your past, your present & your future is very clear to Him. Trust in Him. Just stay in His word & you will discover many answers in your life. God Bless.
