The people are leading a wealthier life than before, but they are poor in spirit. Many people have no faith, do not know the meaning of life, people are poisoned with materialism. The gov't is trying to keep the people numb. Churches are torn down, leader worshipping is on stage, etc.
I hope my country to become strong, but I really do not hope it to be an influential leader in the world. It is terrible for an atheist country to lead the world. I sometimes even wondered whether the great ***** in Revelations is China or not - With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. Every country is trying to find gold in China, even if they need to compromise their faith, say what's not true, give up what they used to hold on to, subdued to the despotic power of China. Even Vatican is considering to unite with the Chinese gov't.
