Please pray that I will no longer feel so much guilt.

I have sinned a lot lately and I have been away from God for so long. I want to stop and run back to him. I have prayed to God for forgiveness but the guilt from what I've done is just eating me up inside. It hurts to even go about my day normally. Please pray for me. Also I am about to leave to go to the military and I would like prayer for that as well.

Jessica, Thank God for our "conscience" as it tells us when we fall short and sin. Without that condemnation we would just continue doing what we know is wrong. If you know the Word of God that says.......

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Once you confess your sin(s) God forgives you, and then cleanses you from all unrighteousness. If you are still feeling condemnation after confessing it would be the devil trying to condem you for what you have done in the past. Resist the devil and tell him you are forgiven of God by quoting this scripture as the sword of the Spirit.

Resist the Devil and he will flee from you........Draw close to God and he will draw close to you. You will be able to sense his presence with you.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

First Welcome to Talk Jesus @Jessica~

Know that you have reached a community of believers that will pray for you, fellowship with you, cry, laugh, praise, and worship as you continue your walk to grow in Christ Jesus.

As you've now come to find out the path is not always easy. We will continue to battle. The Flesh w/ Spirit. Our mind is a battlefield that only with the proper ammunition can you survive the assaults that come your way because you do believe in Him your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6 provides you a good step to wearing the Armour of God. Use them.

As you go to start your military career. This in a way will separate you for a time from being around whatever has assailed you of late to sin. Especially if its environmental or people you know. Just by the fact that you'll be at boot or basic training, will be a time of change. Let it be useful time for a positive change.

Just be aware that this place may also have the things that have drawn you to sin in the past. Curtis has provided a method to deal with the immediate battle. You'll now have to start building the method by which you can seal the cracks the enemy is using to get to you.

Praying, devotionals, memorizing scripture, hanging with other believers, going to church. Even bouncing things off the folks here at Talk Jesus who are your Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus. These are some of the things that can help, and you'll still be able to do while at training.

This will also be an opportunity to put your faith into action. There will be many who will have difficulties there. You too might, but you already know that you have the Holy Spirit that will guide you and truly provide a peace beyond normal understanding that many others do not have. While others may bow to what is happening. You'll stand up and will be counted. Why? Because no matter where you find yourself, what condition, or circumstance. You are never alone! Just by coming here, you have started to be proactive instead of turning completely away from who you believe and know to be true guiding light in your life. Jesus Christ!

So once again be welcome Jessica. Stop by anytime. Even after you leave for the military. For unless the Lord comes back. I do believe we'll be here for you.
God bless and stay faithful!
