Right now the enemy is attacking me. I find myself doubting, picking apart the Word of God and having so many (unanswered) questions. I have anxiety disorder (as well as panic attacks), and it is making my anxiety act up, thinking this way, having these doubts. I pray the Lord would protect my mind, would lead me to the answers I seek, and would restore my confidence in my faith. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Glad to pray for you sister!! You might want to post some of your questions here. There is many years of experience and lots of knowledge concerning scripture here on this site. Not every Christian may agree on the correct answers, but I can guarantee you lots of good answers.

Psalm 46:10a “Be still, and know that I am God;"

Hi GospelGirl,

To be still and stay quiet before the Lord takes time and discipline yet I always find it is the easiest way to dispel any fear and anxiety we may encounter in our every day life. As we come before God's throne in prayer, stilling our hearts focusing our minds on His love and care, remembering before Him His wonderful promises, that will give us strength and power to combat every negative thought that may want to sweep away God's peace and love in our hearts.

Just few years ago, out of curiosity, wanted to know how a psychologist works and diagnose a person. I have this young lady a BS Psychology graduate and an acquaintance of mine let her gave me some simple tests - she just let me draw some things actually. Just like you, the most obvious thing she saw in me is having this "anxiety disorder"... hehe. Taking the results, I address those negative attitudes in prayer asking the Lord to heal me, to help me become a stronger person and to combat every unnecessary fears I have in life. I read in a book one time that in the Bible there are 365 Scriptural passages telling us not to fear meaning each day in a year, God is commanding, admonishing, and keep reminding us not to be afraid or anxious about anything because HE is always there for us. Amen

Before ending, I just want to share this devotional I have the other day, hoping and praying this may give some sorts of knowledge and strength, yeah even comfort to what you are experiencing today. You shall surely be on my prayers as well. God bless.

Your Crown of Glory

But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.—Rev 12:11

When James and John came to Christ with their mother, asking Him to give them the best place in the kingdom, He did not refuse their request, but told them it would be given to them if they could do His work, drink His cup, and be baptized with His baptism.

Do we want the competition? The greatest things are always hedged about by the hardest things, and we, too, shall find mountains and forests and chariots of iron. Hardship is the price of coronation. Triumphal arches are not woven out of rose blossoms and silken cords, but of hard blows and bloody scars. The very hardships that you are enduring in your life today are given by the Master for the explicit purpose of enabling you to win your crown.

Do not wait for some ideal situation, some romantic difficulty, some far-away emergency; but rise to meet the actual conditions which the Providence of God has placed around you today. Your crown of glory lies embedded in the very heart of these things—those hardships and trials that are pressing you this very hour, week and month of your life. The hardest things are not those that the world knows of. Down in your secret soul unseen and unknown by any but Jesus, there is a little trial that you would not dare to mention that is harder for you to bear than martyrdom.
There, beloved, lies your crown. God help you to overcome, and sometime wear it. —Selected

“It matters not how the battle goes,
The day how long;
Faint not! Fight on!
Tomorrow comes the song.”

I am praying with you and for you Gospelgirl487. Unfortunately this world is full of doubters, but if you step out in faith in spite of misgivings and hesitations in yourself, God can and will bring you closer to Him. Rejoice in Him always and pray without ceasing. If you cannot, ask God to help you with those impossible tasks as well.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov 3:5-6

Honey you are feeling anxious about all your doubts and picking and questioning because you think God is troubled by these, trust me, He is not - not even a teeny tiny bit. Father loves you so very much, and He knows exactly how to handle a trembling, questioning child. If you need scripture to 'pick' this truth out of, go read the Psalms, the author(s) ask more questions, write more wondering s and doubts than you could come up with on your worst day. Take heart, you are His child, Hes got you, and He has no intention of letting you go, no matter how much you or your faith wobbles. :baffle:

God has said "if anyone (that includes you and I) lacks wisdom, let them ask God, and He will give heaps of wisdom to them without [scolding them for having none]" ~ my own wording :`)

Bless your socks off

May the LORD keep you strong at this time and cover
Your mind and heart with His protection. May He keep you from temptation
and doubts. May He bless you, In Jesus Name, Amen

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your rquests be made known to God.
And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and minds quiet and at rest through Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:6,7
