Upon further meditation on this topic, especially those who say they were born a homosexual I do have to admit there is some truth to that statement.
The Bible reveals to us those things that God detests, and once find out what those things are we do not want to do them. It is always better to have peace with God than with a man. What good is it if we can stop other people from bringing up this topic and yet have enmity with God?
Immoral acts no matter what they are, fall under the heading of "the works of flesh"
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Homosexuality falls under one or more of these works.
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Everyone is born with a propensity to do these things.
We do not want to be a slave to any one of them. There is no way anyone can fight against something they want to do especially if according to their own flesh and desire
When we discover what God abhors we want to not do them. As the Apostle Paul once said.....
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
Rom 7:16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good.
Rom 7:17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
Rom 7:19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
Rom 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Rom 7:25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!..........
It is NOT a sin to be tempted to do these things, but it is a sin if we yield to do them.
Once a person receives Jesus Christ to be their savior Jesus breaks the power of sin over their life.
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
