Matthew 6:19-21
19"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Don't trust in riches, for such things are left here on earth. Only faith will accompany you. Righteousness will also go with you if faith has led the way. Why do riches entice you? "Ye were not redeemed with gold and silver," possessions, or silk garments, "from your vain conversation, but with the precious blood of Christ." So then, the rich are those who are heirs of GOD, joint heirs with Christ...Don't reject a poor man. For when Christ was rich, He became poor. He became poor because of you so that, by His poverty, He could make you rich.
So then, don't praise yourself as though you were rich. He sent out ven His apostles without money and the first of them said: "Silver and gold have I none," but I have faith. I am rich enough in the name of Jesus, "which is above every name"... But if you want to be rich, you must be poor.
