Godliness and power go hand in hand.One with out the other is not acceptable according to the Bible.Paul talks about people who have a form of godliness but denying its power.“The kingdom of God is not in word.but in power.”God’s people are expected to reveal God’s power to the world.God calls them for this purpose.He rules and reigns through his chosen pople.He reveals his power and authority through his elect.
God’s people are the armies of the Living God.Victory belongs to them “One will chase a thousand and two will chase ten thousand.” God’s people are the weapons of his warfare.Listen what Isaiah says, "See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.” Isaiah;41:15 And in another place. “In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me." Isaiah;49:2
.Jesus was a man powerful in word and deed. When Jesus cursed the fig tree it withered instantly.He spoke to the storm and to the waves and immediately they became still and there was calm. When his enemies came against him they all fell back to the ground.Jesus had to give up his power so that they can take him to be crucified [John;18]
Now the Lord said,”It is good for the disciple to be like his teacher.”Not only in taking reproach and bearing the cross,but also in word and deed.“He who is trained fully will be like his teacher.” And “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also;” John;14:12 Jesus said,Lord Jesus Christ received all authority in heaven and on earth and he is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God.Now the believers are raised with him and being seated in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
