Reader.....Notice the condition to receive this Power from God that IS the "power to BECOME a Son of God".

The condition is..."received Him".

Who is Him? Him: is JESUS......This is faith in Christ = is how you receive Him.
And when you do this, God then gives you HIS power to become a Son of God.
Now, to be born again, is the PROCESS of the Power that the Holy Spirit causes.
But what is the actual POWER?

This is why Paul teaches you that he "preaches the CROSS".....as the POWER of the Transformation, that causes you to become a Son of God, is only BASED ON "the Cross" and "belief".

This is why Jesus tells you in John 14:9, that He is THE WAY to God.
He is explaining the LITERAL CROSS of CHRIST that is "the power of God, unto Salvation".

Not deeds, self effort, or "trying to be like Christ".

Only the Cross and Christ the Redeemer has God provided as "the Power of God UNTO Salvation" for as many as BELIEVE.
Give God your Faith in Christ and God will produce in you, for you, and through you, the power to become a "new Creation" "in Christ"..."one with God"..... Born Again.

This is certainly one way But it happened differently for me…

I called out to Any God who would answer, and Jesus was the Name that was brought to my attention. Truly in the last minutes I was giving for any to answer. A literal knock on my front door…lol Not only did that knock save my life, but it started a journey that I’m still on, growing and learning. Being sanctified or made Holy!

Just a few things to point out that stand out for me, if I may…

God gives us the measure of our faith. So it’s really not anything “of” ourself, as this is a gift also! And with this Faith, it causes us to believe, thus put into practice the words Jesus gave us, like he asked us too. We end up doing the works he does and even greater! By the Spirit, through Faith, because of His Grace.

For the words(even commands) are Spirit, and they are our Life! For all who listen, are convicted (conviction!) at a heart level, and are healed. Moved. Changed! Free or Saved. (From a previous state of feeling, thinking, and living…washed Cleaned)

You must take up your cross, and follow The Way! Which is to die to self, and Live for him. Which is to Live for others,(even to death) as he was the example set, using the cross. He was the Power. And used his own life, to Show us how it’s done. He left the blueprint to follow. The instructions. (The Way!-it’s done!) Once he shows us, it is the Spirit at work in us, and no longer us leading, but following. No more seeking the strength to continue on, but given. No more fear and courage given. No more disparity , but hope given. For we are equipped!

Faith is the -substance- of things hoped for…Evidence…of things not seen.
It is the conviction from within, after hearing the Word, that causes us to believe. So not God himself per se, but by Faith! Which is given. To those who are called Which are the ones Given too Jesus By his Father! Which he looses none! So no, not everyone is meant to come to Jesus. Only his portion…as there is a plan that is not yet fulfilled.

I’m not sure what Calvinism believes, as I have not learned any doctrines. I’ve heard a lot, but can’t tell you which is which as they all seem to blend together in confusion for me. And my God is not the author of confusion
I was raised (the last 10 years) on the Scriptures themselves. Two fold To life! And reared! I seek what man speaks, and most of the time, it’s against scripture. So I follow where I’m lead.

So it’s really a matter of if those called, Chooses to listen to that call, and move by the Faith given them. Which brings me back to what you seem to have overlooked.

Why is a person called?

All through Hebrews 11 (the faith chapter of the Bible) people did actions, works to "prove" their faith.

By faith.... Noah built an ark, Rahab, hid the spies, Moses left Egypt, Abraham sacrificed Isaac, etc.....

But what you say you believe, isn't what you will be judged by.

John 5:29; and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

Yes, he said that to someone who wanted to touch him physically. To someone who had to see the holes in his hands and put his finger in his side. Neither can it apply to any of us today. So that is out of context the way you are trying to use it here.

All that have been called…(and answered)..are blessed, as none have seen him physically, yet have moved by Faith. Which is the substance of things (that have been hoped for) and the Evidence of things not seen. Like the changing of Hearts and minds. This giving us new Life! This is an actual substance that separates belief and faith.


You believe that plane that you get on, will make it to your destination. You walk upon that plane (by Faith) because you believe you will make it. Unfortunately, your plane goes down.

Blind faith based upon belief.

You Hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. You believe that by Professing his name, and believing that he died on the cross, you are saved. You walk into your church (by Faith) every Sunday, thinking you are changed, yet unfortunately you go home and act the same way.

Point being, A belief is based upon ideas, imaginative speculation, opinions, emotions and such. Usually comes from traditions and myths, that have no confirmation.

Faith, is based upon the substance of things spoken of before(per our time) and the evidence of things not seen. Therefore becomes a -Known-, experienced….”By your Faith it is Done!” You start to trust this, and believe the rest that was spoken….Like his return, and the End result…New Heaven and New Earth.
Thus keep walking by Faith! Because you see the promise to Abraham fulfilled, you know he is faith(full) to his relationships and only speak the Truth, and never changes. So no reason Not to believe that he will continue to the end of this age….

Neither are the ears the only way to hear!!! As those in relationship, hear not with their ears, but with their Heart! Neither see with their eyeballs, but with their minds eye, also called perception, 3rd eye, or intuition….

You cannot round up all the “belief” verses, and say “see”….. The whole council has to be taken into account. Otherwise, you show to be dishonest and show a lack of integrity, especially claiming to show how to become a Son of God.

All It takes submission to his guidance. Period.

immortality to exist with the Father and Son forever in Agape love as that is the substance of God and will also be the substance of you. You have been called to become what He is.
The kingdom of God is the substance of God and that substance is what is His good pleasure to give you, but chastisement comes first. And if ye endure God dealeth with you

Thank you for the response! And I agree with the majority of what you say Only issue is God does not overstep our choice, given by him himself. And I don’t see it as chastised, as much as bringing to our awareness, as we convict ourselves when shown.

But there was a reason I was asking Bethel this. And is a great issue within Christianity when it comes to those “needing Jesus because they are sinners, or hellfire/damnation”. “All you have to do is believe”.

Jesus reconciled the world. And the human already. (physically/flesh And Spiritually) And boarders. And did it through the cross. They can become one, and are already. Just needs the (inner) work done. “Submit and obey…The Way!”….that was provided through the instructions given in what we call the Scriptures. For truly they are our Life! Literally!

Israel, was the example, of taking the worst of the worst, and changing them, from the inside(heart) out. “New Life”. Abundant in every way!

Within this Israel, he set a blueprint, eventually manifested in Jesus. And since, has called out to the rest of the world, to bring this household together. (The World- As we are One Species, on One habitable planet)

There are gifts given. To be utilized for this purpose. Which will then have an effect on the rest of the World. Harmony and peace.
Truly a beautiful plan, if it was enacted properly.

—We cannot come, unless we are called. As we are called to do a job, as a “construction worker.” You have to be able to be used for the purpose set. And that’s to build! And you have to die to yourself, to be able to follow the instructions. As not all of it was given. He gives when it is needed at the appropriate time!

So to say that people need Jesus in their life, though true in our opinion, because of what it gives us, we over step our place, and tarnish the name in the process.

A lot of damage has been done in that name because of this. To the Point at even the mention of it, is cringe worthy. Eye rolls, and distain. Very painful to witness and bare.

Indeed we are all Sons. With or without profession. As we all, as human beings, come from the same linage. -Body and Spirit.-
It’s a matter of self awareness to our true identity. “Born again”(awakened) And that is Spirit, inhabiting bodies.
Flesh gives birth to flesh. And Spirit gives birth to Spirit!!! Each after their own kind! And it is by choice, that we choose to fall, daily. Or partake of the darkness. Which is why the call for. Re-newal!

We are working off a 2000 year old text. That was spoken in the culture and time that it was given. Yet the truths, principles, and wisdom given, speaks to the dual nature of the beings we are, no matter the time period we are in. Which is why his are timeless.

At this point, his workers need look back at the blueprint, and stop making additions and changes. As this house has turned into the Winchester house. Many doors that go nowhere. Haunted, by the blood that has been spilt, in the making of it. Enough to reach the bridal of a horse

Romans 5:18 ESV Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for ALL men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for ALL men.

Adams disobedience-condemnation. Jesus' act of righteousness-justification and life. Both decrees of God that we had nothing to do with as we are not Adam nor Jesus.
You can add in the 1 Co 15:22-23 as well........BUT EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER...................

This was and is the plan and it will be fulfilled no matter what, as eternal life was promised to all who would participate in the flesh from before the foundation of the world.
All the promises of God were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, but when each man begins to return to whence he came is up to the Father. And all things are possible with God. Don't let
your lack of faith get in the way of seeing with His eyes as it indeed sets one free to know that truth, as it is the finished product.

God never lost a single hair on your head much less you. And literally He draws you, or drags however you wish to interpret the word, to Jesus. He doesn't make you believe He gives you the faith necessary to believe, and that day of the infilling, when it comes, is an unspeakable/undescribable joy that only those who have experienced it can understand.
