Hi, I'm Amen!. I joined here because I currently have no church to call home. When I did attend a physical church, I didn't participate in fellowship activities because I never felt comfortable there. Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe I'm making excuses for myself, but I believe a church body should make some attempt to make new members feel welcome, comfortable and encourage active participation and growth.

While the church that I previously attended did good things for the community, I believe it's focus was misplaced. They built a bigger, more elaborate, more elegant church so that they could "reach a larger part of the community". I pray the Lord will forgive me if I am mistaken, (if not for my own sake, but for the sake of the other members), but I perceived the church's efforts as less than glorified. So I left to pursue God on my own. I will commit to one of the local churches one day, but in the meantime, I would like to fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ on this forum.

I have many questions that I hope any number of you might be willing to offer answers to. I will try to post them in the appropriate forums. For now, I just want to say thank you for being here and providing this opportunity. Praise God! He has led me here.

Hey welcome to talk jesus, we accept you with arms wide open!! its really sad to know that you felt uncomfortable at the church you were attending!! i think it may be a good thing that you are no longer going because being in a church were they dont welcome people and dont give ALL the glory to god it can stunt your growth as a christian and you can learn bad habbits!! I admire you courage to pursue god on your own however i think its a great idea if you can find a church that will accept you and one that gives ALL the glory to god!! but its great you found this site because we your brothers and sisters in christ will help you as much as we possibly can.....will be praying for you that god will place you in an amazing church were you will fit in!!! and pray that not having a church to call home will not hinder or make you stray from your relationship with god.
