Hi all,
Recently i went to a retreat and came back feeling awesome and for a few weeks i was in a "honeymoon" period where I worshiped really passionately and felt really emotionally connected with God. Recently that has dwindled out a bit and my faith has felt a bit, well..... dry.
I have also been letting emotions pile up on me and I have been feeling really overwhelmed by all the negative influences i face every day.
I really would appreciate some prayer in that God would help to restore my faith and help me not to become so overwhelmed by the World, as he calls us to be in the world but not of the world. Thank you so much for the ongoing support, bless this forum and the people among it.
God Bless x

I am praying with and for you. Remember when it comes to "dry places" that is a dry place that will be inhabited by the Lord:

"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Psalm 132:31-14

This psalm is speaking about Zion, which literally means a "parched place". We are often dry and parched spiritually speaking, but need not remain always there, do we?

"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" John 7:38-39

But now the Holy Ghost has been given:

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:38-39

How can there be mountain tops without the valleys? Our emotions were created within us for good purpose, but we cannot live by them always. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He WILL direct your paths. Be at peace sister, the life we live, we must live by faith, and trust in the promises of God. I shall pray for you though, that you come through your dry time, stronger because of it.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Don't put your confidence in your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

My prayer for you: " God help this person restore there faith and bring him/her closer to you. "
