Hello all,
I wanted to ask for your help praying for an unsaved friend of mine. He is a fantastic person with a lot of wonderful qualities and a great personality, but he doesn't know Christ... and that is really all that matters.
Anyway, I know personally the incredible power of prayer. It is such a resource, such a tool, such a blessing, and I want to take advantage of it every opportunity I am given. I have no doubt the Lord will work through these prayers and I know in regards to prayer, the more the merrier!
If you wouldn't mind praying this quick prayer for my friend:
Father God, I pray that You would save this person. I pray You would convince him of his need for You. Convict him, call him, draw him, and soften his heart to You. Make him willing and wanting to know You. Quicken his heart to You and turn his heart of stone to a heart of flesh. Lead him to repentance and bless him with the beautiful saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Through Your Spirit working powerfully in his life, exert an irresistible influence on him that he might not be able to keep away from You, nor would he want to. I pray Father that You would saturate him in Your love, and out of Your mercy and grace save him.
Your word continually states Your will that all be saved. And Christ Himself spoke of the power of simply asking. Father, I am asking that You would work powerfully and mightily to save this sinful heart. I am asking Lord that You would fulfill Your will and work out Your promised salvation by saving this soul. You are powerful enough to overcome even the most hardened heart; so Father, use Your power overcome his resistance, and change his will that he may desire nothing but You for all his life.
In Christ's name I pray, Amen.
Thanks so much! I know the Lord will work powerfully through the prayers of the righteous, especially when it comes to building up his kingdom and creating more disciples. I will keep you updated with the progress. Feel free to pray your own prayer for his salvation, too!
