Ethnic-minority Christians have suffered violence in Buddhist-majority Myanmar for decades, but in the last year, since the military coup in February 2021, it has got worse. The coup has affected our ability to safely and freely worship. People worry that they will be attacked or bombed while they are praying. Pray for people of Myanmar that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Ask, in the words of the old hymn, that as they “turn their eyes upon Jesus … the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

Thanks Tun,

IMO in the UK too many people use the state as a crutch, when things go wrong they look to the state to provide if they're unemployed, sick, with no home, in trouble with the police and more. In the UK we don't look to God in times of crisis, no, we all know our rights and where to go to get our entitlements. You see, we dont need God any more, no we look to the state as our provider. That's the reason behind the prophesied falling away in Europe and USA.

Compare and contrast Myanmar. The state is the enemy of the people, each fearing the other and wanting to inflict the maximum harm on the other and so people turn in their droves to Jesus for help, guidance, support, protection and provision.

For that reason we need to ask God for a realisation of his power in raising up missionaries to work in the mission fields to gather in that harvest.

Please pray for the work of @Tun Lin and his team, better still contact him to ask about prayer requests and ways that you can support his work. If you want to know a bit more about it -
