Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I ask that you pray for a dear brother & sister in Christ whose daughter committed suicide.
How does one comfort those who have lost a beloved who has taken their own life? What words to share with the inconsolable?
My heart is already torn at my own loss of my wife, now this! Oh, my dear God have mercy!!! Comfort those who call unto You, who don't know any hope but You!
That the Holy Spirit fall upon them that they may know for a surety that You are with them at this time and till the end of time! Forever more! In the name of Jesus Your Son!

Thank-you for anyone who sends their prayers heavenward on behalf of this hurting family.

Saying a prayer. In such situations, words mean little to those grieving, a little verbal compassion, and perhaps let them know you want to bring something over that you and your wife will fix and share a quiet supper with them or just leave it with them. And leave them all the leftovers, and bring a lot of food! Fulfilling basic needs (mowing lawns, food, seeing if any structures around the house might be in need of repair... etc) is the best thing in addition to prayer. Those are the things more remembered than words when terrible loss happens.

Saved believers need not pray for such a phenomenal event of the Holy Spirit falling on already saved believers for assurances like that when that will not be the Holy Spirit doing that when they can get assurances in His words.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

It is no wonder why many saved believers that have gone astray, feel abandoned by the Lord when the spirit of the antichrist does not visit like that any more or for when they need that "sign" for assurances.

Pray rather that through His words, they receive comfort from the truth in His words that He is in us and with us always to walk us through this valley of death to fear no evil, even the loss of a family member through suicide.

I shall pray for His intervention for the family you are grieving with now that they may know the truth in His words that He is with them in their time of need & that no supernatural phenomenon is needed nor sought for assurances.
