I would like some prayer for my nephew he is in juvenile detention center.But I know Prayer is powerful please I need prayer for him so he will not have to go to state penitentiary .Lord just take care of him wherever he is at and mighty father I know you are the one to come to for you are his lawyer and you will get him released. Can I ask you to think really carefully about what you pray for before you pray? I know you love this lad, but if he's done wrong to someone he has to take and face up to the consequences. If God granted your prayer that would set a dangerous precedent for law breakers to continue their lives of crime so long as someone was praying that they wouldn't go down for it. That's not fair either on God or the victim of your nephew's crime.
Might I suggest, better that this whole episode awakens your nephew and gives him the jolt he needs to change his ways? If you're able to visit him you might tell him that now would be an excellent time to reassess his life and give control of his life to God.
Please let us know how he gets on both with his sentence and more importantly, his decision.

Dear Lord God,
I want to pray for Nance's nephew. I pray Lord that your Holy Spirit will get to work on him, convicting him of the futility of life without your love, care, guidance and control. Like all of us Lord he needs you so I pray Lord God that you will give Nance the wisdom to be able to challenge his nephew in an effective and sympathetic way, giving him the love that he needs and so drawing him towards you. Yes he has a free-will choice, I pray Lord he will give due thought and consideration to this choice based upon your calling and Nance's invitation, and then make it.
Lord God I do pray for this family at this time of crisis. I pray Lord that you will bring them all together under your protective wing.
