I am not sure where to posts questions. If I am wrong let me know where to post. I am new to this forum. I believe in Christ and I believe I am a christian but my family does not believe in christ, I am unable to go to church for this reason and my husband is not a christian as well. I don't know where to clarify my doubts then I found this site and there are many churches with different denominations don't know which one to choose. Then I searched through many sites, glad that I found talkjesus where I can connect with christian people.I know that Jesus is the true God and he is always there in every walk of my life. If I do wrong he chaste me and lead me in a right path. For the Past 7 years I am reading bible regularly and transformation is happening. I know that through Jesus Christ I will transform fully and pray God and believe my husband changes and we can have bible study and prayer altogether.

My Question is God is one then Jesus is also God. whom should we pray. We pray in the name of Jesus. Can somebody explain me this? We say that in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit. Please help me I am confused?

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one. We can speak to them all. But, Jesus tells us.....

John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son
John 14:14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
John 16:24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
John 16:26
At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

also:

Matthew 6: 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I agree with revbrad based on the scripture he provided
I wanted to know that Heavenly Father, Jesus and Holy sprit are one.

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Ephesians 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all
John 10:30 I and the Father are one."
I believe scripture bears out that the Father,Son and Holy Spirit are one.
Whats really awesome is we are also one in him if you can believe it.

John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one--
John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

I know that through Jesus Christ I will transform fully and pray God and believe my husband changes and we can have bible study and prayer altogether.

I agree with you in that prayer.

My wife was a believer for 4 years before I was,I tested her and watched her over those years to see if her God made a difference and the transformation I saw in her convinced me there was power in her God.

I am unable to go to church for this reason and my husband is not a christian as well. Hello gglearner.

Good question, no need to be confused.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Colossians 1
15 He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 For by Him (Jesus) all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities
all things have been created through Him (Jesus) and for Him (Jesus).

All things both visible and invisible were created by Jesus, for Jesus.

We converse with our creator, Jesus Christ.

Thank you everyone for answering my question. Now I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus and Holy spirit are one.

I wanted to know that Heavenly Father, Jesus and Holy sprit are one.
Try to think about it this way:
God created man in His own image.
He is tripartite: Father, Son, Holy Ghost- all expressions of Him
We are tripartite: Spirit, soul, body- all expressions of us.

(1 John 5:7) "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

and that verse was the first missing verse in other translations to lead me to use KJV
