Why do so many Christians lie to themselves and God.

One eye, one hand lifted to God saying..."

While the other eye and hand is saying...
Who shall I date this week, oo I like her/his profile..cute pic, wow she has a nice body.

Then we have one foot kneeling to God in prayer.
Lord I trust in you, I will be patient because you know best

While the other foot is
chasing after someone.

We tell our friends
I'm not looking, I'm waiting on God to send my wife/husband

But we tell ourselves
she/he must look like this, wear this, have this..yes thats what I'm looking for.

I love this one best.
Lord let your will be done

Then we turn around and date the first person that says "hi", because they fit what " we want ". our set profile in our heads.

Lets be honest its always what we want, gimme gimme. I, I, I..we then lie and say this is what God wants, when we know it's all us.

It time to wake up shake it off, and submit yourself to God and his will.
Its time for your whole body to wait on God.
Its time to put away your expectations of your mate and let God choose.

Don't waste time searching for what you want..sitting next to you, the shy guy or the girl who never gets asked out..might just be that perfect mate. Your running after Mr. & Mrs Perfect, when someone right now who really cares about you is hoping to get your attenion.

This is very true... cynical how we think in our hearts and what we do and say.
This is just us being humans, but I know people who really were very honest with themselves and waited for the one God prepared for them, and it's the sweetest stories you can ever hear, stories coming out of people like that.

Submitting ourself fully to the lord isn't easy, becuase we do it alone, we need to ask HIM to make us let go.

Yes submitting is not easy..but the minute we see our selfish Pride staring back at us in the mirror..that should force us to return to God.


To many stories with people falling in love this week, break up next week. And this is because we went outside of God's will, we choose our own package.

To prevent bleeding love and open scars..we need to seek after God's perfect love, God's plan for our lives.

Its not easy but it must be God first.
There's no middle ground whether we are human or not.

Its God's will or My will.

We are created on God's image, so we do share his attributes to a limit, but we do have them inside us, we really can love anyone as much as he loves us!

Keeping this on one's mind everyday can help us go through anything in love, just like God sent the son he loved abundantly, because he loved us, the kind of love than no one can comprehend.
