Ever notice almost all great stories have the same plot?
Act 1: There is a good situation
Act 2: This situation gets messed up, usually by betrayal and lies. The villain is now in control.
Act 3: A hero arrives on the scene to set things right, to conquer the bad guy(s).
Act 4: The good situation gets restored, maybe even better than it started.
I can't think of a single great story where the plot isn't like this.
Act 1: Once there was a Garden of Eden, Harmony between God and man and his creation.
Act 2: Satan rebels, takes a third of the angels with him and then deceives man into giving him control over the earth.
Act 3 Jesus comes to set the captives free, and free those who accept him from the law of sin.
Act 4: God restores harmony between God and man and His creation.
Of course we are currently nearing the end of act 3. All of us are part of the story.
What part are you playing? There are no innocent bystanders, you're a good guy or a bad guy.
