Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God's servant to proclaim it. Colossians 1:22-23 NLT
How are you approaching God today? Do you have peace and confidence before Him, or are you struggling with guilt, shame, or inadequacy? Paul offers a very encouraging truth that you can claim right now: Jesus offers you the chance to be fully reconciled with God because He fully united Himself with humanity through His incarnation, death, and resurrection. Through the ministry of Jesus on your behalf, you can stand with Him before God the Father as completely holy and blameless. His perfection has become your own.
However, you need to start believing and living in this truth. You have to hold on to it, trust it, and claim it daily, allowing Jesus to guide and direct you. If you rely on your own wisdom and righteousness, you’ll soon find yourself struggling to obey and feeling distant from God. But if you remain close to Jesus, you can approach God as a fully accepted and adopted child.
Prayer: Father, help me to remain close to Jesus so that I can have peace before You.
