Well here my story, well I was engaged with the beautiful mother of my child. Everything was okay, until i decided to do my own life and turn my back in god, God allowed me to live my life how I wanted to. Therefore I wasn’t faithful and committed adultery. I denied what I did because I wasn’t a man , and thought I could’ve handle everything accordingly to my standards. My fiancé and I separated last year, and choose to move out due to arguments and issues. We’re here a year later when I got the calling of god seek him and make it back to his house church. I then quickly realized what in earth I was doing wrong. I was born again in Jesus Christ that Sunday I got the calling to be back in his presence. I have repent for all my sins, I am trying to be strong and keep faith as I walk with God. My ex fiancé is now talking to someone else whom she says it’s only a friend. I know god works in miracles and is the god of gods. Kings of kings . And who against me if he’s by my side. I’d love for anyone who may come across this bless my family to be restored through gods will. And that I become a better husband dad and brother in Christ ! Amen

Dear @Allenv
Welcome to Talk Jesus an online community of Jesus Christ believers.
I hope you will find fellowship, growth in God's Word, and prayer for you and yours while you are here.

First you were never married, so though she is the mother of the child you had together, and you are the dad, you were not in covenant with God, and so His blessings that you would have thought would have had in your union, were not for you to have. I told my own daughter, that if you want God's blessings in your life and the life of the man you are living with, even though a Christian; then you need to do it His way, and not your own. They are now married, and I believe being blessed because of it, but it took God's intervention for that to happen.

I will pray for you as I did for them before they even thought of being married.

Heavenly Father, I bring before you these two young people who look to your Son Jesus, as Savior in their lives. You know the flesh is weak and has been weak in them, while even the difficulties of this world will strive against them as well. If it is Your will that they are to be together or apart, let it be so, that in either case, You are glorified, and they will see that it is Your will and not their own that is being done and rejoice because of it! They truly need Your help Father God, and the child they share, most especially. That whatever happens, that this child be covered by Your blessing and that they all will walk according to Your will for them in Jesus. That You may be Glorified and Praised in the lives they live! I ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen, Amen, Amen!

Secondly, I truly hope the best for you and yours.
With the Love of Christ Jesus, again be welcomed!

Many the Lord fill you with His Grace.

Sins have consiquences.

You have come full circle. Congratulations. Now, you fiancée needs to come full circle.

Pray for her. This will take some time.

In your prayers, include 2 things. Constantly ask God to forgive her for her sins (and yours as well) and offer her up to God as a living sacrifice.

He can’t ask God to forgive her sins. She has to do it.with a broken spirit and contrite heart

Jesus set the example, dying on the cross for everyone. And Jesus tells us to follow Him. Obviously we are not Jesus, but we can take on others sins and ask God to forgive them.

Look at Stephen, the 1st Martyr, when giving up his life while being stoned. "Lord don't hold this against them"

You’re taking what Stephen said out of context and twisting the scriptures

Am I? Stephan did say that. And it is quoted in Scripture. If only the sins stay with those who do the sinning, then how could Stephen say Lord don't hold that against them?

Isn't he taking their sins upon himself

Lol, no of course not.
When my kids mess up I feel it’s my fault for not bringing them up better and ask God to blame me and make me pay for it.
But it doesn’t work that way.

Did God forgive them and put it on Stephen? No. God later cursed them anyway.
You can ask him to convict, but you can’t ask forgiveness for anyone but yourself

If that is true, then neither could Jesus take sin upon Himself

Dear Brothers, @lentz @Bill
As I was reading your exchange here, I recalled Jesus breathing the Holy Spirit upon the disciples before sending them out and telling them that they could forgive others their sins or not.

Again he said, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you." Then he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." John 20:21-23 NLT

Now we are not talking about Salvation through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus on the Cross for that hasn't happened yet at the above time, but sins that people at times have difficulty with. However, this does bring along with it many other questions! Oy Vey!

That is a tricky one brother.
As you say, it wasn’t for salvation sake. Could it be forgiveness for personal injury by another?
Notice also, the comforter hadn’t come as yet.
Also note Thomas wasn’t present. Did he miss out on this power?
I really can’t explain this passage.
One day I’ll understand it

Yes. Fully God , Fully Human
I was not born like Jesus I am born with original sin. Jesus is my God and king I am in no way equal to him, he is exalted above all, Neither you nor I, or anyone was born by a virgin.

This is why we have to be born again, Jesus did NOT HAVE TO BE BORN AGAIN.

Matthew 1:22-23

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

1 John 3:5

You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

THis is a scripture that has puzzled me, and I must say I do not fully understand it. let me explain. Sure I can see if someone steals from me I forgive them they are forgiven. The other side of this is much more important. If I know a addict who lives in sin, drinks every day has sex outside of marriage, smokes crack. I can forgive him all I want, but he is in bondage to sin, and me forgiving is not going to brake the chains of bondage that hold him captive, and neither will he inherit the Kingdom of God according to

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Jesus alone breaks the chains of addiction, and frees a person from the bondage in inequity, I can not do that, no man can. So when we forgive someone is more for us then them IMO

Dear Brother,
I put the following verses with the previous ones I mentioned on the "forgiving of sins or not". (John 20:21-23)

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater [works] than these he will do, because I go to My Father. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. "If you ask anything in My name, I will do [it]. John 14:12-14 NKJV

I believe that faith, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as far as the individual is concerned, comes into play, and of course in accordance/knowing the Will of God.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
