Hello sisters and brothers in Christ. I have been praying and studying what the Bible teaches about the sabbath day/days. As we know, it is the fourth commandment of our God. I want to know do you keep the sabbath day/days? (The bible also teaches about other sabbath days other than the 7th day.) If you keep the sabbath day, in what ways do you keep it to sanctity it? If you do not keep the sabbath day, I would like to know your reason, please.
May God bless each of you.

The sabbath day is the day in which we find our rest. In the OT under the law given to Moses it was a literal day which may be seen by us today as a type or shadow of the real place and time of rest which is in Jesus when Jesus is also resting in us. In the OT it was often known as Zion referring to the natural children of Israel and something more. Are we not to be His resting place and is He not to be our resting place? Was that not His prayer?

"Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." John 17:20-23

Jesus is ready for us to rest in Him, but are we already a set apart [sanctified] pure and clean vessel in which He is able to rest?

"...The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." Matt 8:20

David prophesied about this here:

"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob." Psalm 132:3-5

He then spoke of where the resting place was here:

"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Psalm 132:13-14

So what and where is this Zion? Is it or can it be you and me?

The religious elitists ask the Lord Jesus "Is it lawful
to heal on the Sabbath days?" (Matthew 12:10)
The lord Jesus answered "It is lawful
to do well on the Sabbath days." (Matthew 12:12)

For me anyway, that is all we need to know about the matter.

I copied and pasted from the BIBLE which I know To be TRUTH and I believe the Catholic catechism is Truth because the Catholic Church puts out the catechism. I should know whether or not these thing are so because I WAS a Catholic.
So because YOU consider it to not be truth you've deleted my reply and in essence denied me my first amendment rights to free speech as well as Marek?

Greetings,

@Jax,

From what I understand , you have copied from a website that is off track, whether you were a Catholic or not .
People have this catholic hate mindset that allows cunning liars to deceive them.

Regarding first amendment, what Scripture are you referring to ? I haven't been able to find anything about being denied first amendment rights to free speech in the Bible.
I am not sure what member @Marek thinks about it? There is certainly no mention of it in Torah, or is there?

Jax, your posts were deleted. That happens sometimes. Sometimes members get banned.

This, TalkJesus, is not your forum. You are welcome here. You have been a member for a day and you are going full throttle attempting to push your agenda. I don't think most people do that in worldly groups so why do it here? Think about it.

Bless you ....><>

"catholic hate mindset"? No, don't you see everything in RCC is totally pagan and goes against the word of God? And now, the protestant and catholic church even want to go and make a peace deal, and perhaps protestants will take RCC practices as legit? why are believers so unaware of deceptions that are going on within the church? This thing saddens me. The church is above the word of God. Shalom.

sorry, I haven't been informed of rcc or anything like what you mentioned. I think I understand what you are saying, though.
I don't think of rcc and the others you mentioned as being the Church.

What I was trying to say, though, is that those who have a bent against this or that can be easily swayed by those who talk with that in mind, in order to impress and then ensnare.

Beware.

Bless you ....><>
