Satan the Deceived

I have talked to many Christians through the years who say Satan is stupid, he's not stupid but deceived. he wants you to believe he's stupid.

Here's what God reveals to us about the true heart of Satan that Satan himself doesn't want us to know.

Isaiah 14:12-15
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

This is who we are really dealing with in our walk with Christ. Peter said that he is a roaring lion walking to and fro on the earth seeking whom he may devour. And devour you he will through the temptations of this world.

Paul warns us of the battle we face and what to do about it.

Ephesians 6:10-12
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Don't be deceived, Satan is our enemy and he's not stupid! He is a cunning adversary looking for a way to steal your faith. That's what he's after, the destruction of your faith. He has left a trail of broken Christians for 20 centuries.

The king of Tyrus was a very wicked and prideful man. God uses this king as a symbol of Satan in wickedness and pride.

Satan became deceived through his own pride.

Ezekiel 28:12-17
"Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee."

Stupid is knowing something is wrong yet still doing it anyway.

Satan does not have any spiritual understanding of the plan of God, only a logical earthly wisdom which is foolishness to God.

Yes, very smart for sure. I wouldn't even say he is deceived though. He has chosen to love what is evil over hating it and clinging to what is good.

All evil people love pride, power, money, pleasures, selfishness and to a degree hurting others. What they don't like is being hurt or prison.

What they certainly don't like is any of the teachings of Jesus. Turn the left cheek, love your enemy, bless those who curse you, give the thief more. Jesus and His teachings . Separating sinner from saint with such clarity.

God has told Satan he will be brought down to the pits of hell, yet Satan believes he will exalt his throne above the stars of God.

That is a self deception that mortal man cannot imagine. Satan is in a league of his own with deception, far beyond just the love for sin.

He is not an idiot. He knows he stands no chance of competing with God.

Satan is in a league of his own with deception, far beyond just the love for sin.

We understand good and evil just as God and the angels do Gen 3:5.
