Hi Popples, I have prayed for you just now & will continue to pray. I prayed that you will feel God holding you in the palm of His Hand & that you will let the hurt in your heart spill out before Him. He will take it, you know. I pray you can feel Him looking so lovingly at you, because you are the apple of His Eye.

Whatever it is that is trying to discourage you (we know the source, but I'm speaking of what is being used specifically), write it down & declare it in God's Hands. Sometimes when we write about things or talk about things with believers, we find that it takes the edge off of how we feel about it. Be careful not to discuss it with someone who won't talk with you & have God in the conversation.

I'll be glad to talk with you. My computer doesn't do well in chat, but please feel free to PM me anytime. God does care & so do I...honestly.

God bless you sister. Your in my prayers. GOD loves you and I hope you mediate on the Scripture below. This is some of Scripture examples of GOD's everlasting, unconditional love through our Savior Jesus Christ!

1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love

God loves you and will carry you during your burdens always.

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."

Hosea 11:8
How can I give you up, Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, Israel?
How can I treat you like Admah?
How can I make you like Zeboiim?
My heart is changed within me;
all my compassion is aroused.

Keep your faith strong and watch what can happen. Remember, meditate on the above Scripture of GOD's love. His love is the greatest and no trial or burden in life is greater than He that is in us than he that is in the world.

Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

Mark 5:34
He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Luke 8:48
Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

Luke 18:42
Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."

Gwen, you are not alone. We are here holding you up in prayer. As I drive to work this morning I will be praying for you. We look at situation thru our human mind, look at Prov. 3:5-6, memorize it, His Word will give you strength.
God bless you sister.

Dear sister of course we will pray for and with you. I suffer from depression and those moments when you have to drag yourself out of bed and face whatever the day bring are frightening. I do understand how you are feeling and as God is with me always He will be with you when you need His love and protection. These negative feelings will pass but God's love endures forever.I sense you distress, please do not feel alone.I am many thousands of miles from you but united with you in prayer. Please pm me at any time.God bless and try to stay strong.

Hello Popples,
well it is nice to know that you can still call for help when you need to. You did not finish your sentence so I assume that you are completely at you wits end, cannot get answers to your problems, and to face a day in this world where everyone seems to dislike you and wants nothing good for you. I hope that you are not considering suicide as this is not the answer, matter of fact it would make your problems absolutely worse!

Depression is a condition that stems from attempting to resolve our own problems and when we do not get any joy then we get dispondent and absolutely discouraged. This is not a good place to be!

Jesus gave His disciples a command "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations ..... Matt 28:19. Well you came to the right place to look for help. You see it is the responsibility of the Body of Christ to go and teach the nations.... that is to make disciples.

To teach the nations what? That there is salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross. Salvation from what? Our sin, and the results of sin - Judgement. The result of teaching someone the truth of Gods Word is to bring the person or persons attention back to Him who created us in the first place. Romans 1:16 says "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek".

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, He brings the person who was once dead (separated from God because of their sinfulness) to life (into a relationship with God again). The Gospel causes us to look back at ourselves and say I am sinful and in need of help! Now because Jesus Christ took all our infirmaties, sins, inquities, etc upon Himself at the cross the Gospel teaches us that through Him there is hope of redemption.

My sister there is hope for redemption out of your mirey pit. In Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus was teaching His disciples how to pray. The very first line reads ... Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name ... who should we call upon for our redemption - a Holy and absolutely perfect God! Jesus made this possible that we who are sinful can call upon an absolutely perfect God who is willing to hear our hearts cry and show mercy. Have a look at it this way .. My Father in heaven You are seated in heaven and I a sinner on the earth. Lord God I am in need of salvation from my trouble .... This is the attitude that Jesus was implying we should have when praying to God.

The Psalmist is Psalm 69 shows a man in terrible depression but he did not loose sight of the the faithfullness of God to help him out of that trouble. Read especially verses 13-18 see the attitude of the Psalmist .... humbleness before God and because of this God would answer his prayer.

In closing I want you to see something else. When Adam and Eve sinned God placed them out of His presence Genesis 3:24 SO he drove out the man: and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. The angels and the flaming sword. Fire in the bible is symbolic of judgement and the sword the Word of God. Therefore in order for people to come back to the tree of life, who is Jesus Christ, they must believe the Gospel that judges the heart and turns the sinner back to God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Read another way ... For God so loved Popples, that he gave his only begotten son, that if Popples should believe in him Popples should not perish but have everlasting life.

Remember what I said in the beginning of this reply about depression here is something for you from Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

1. First Jesus says we must come to Him - why?; because
2. In our attempts to overcome our problems we are labouring and we get to the point where we are just too overcome with our burdens. What does He promise? Rest:
3. Rest from our own efforts to take on ourselves His yoke - that is His Lordship over us to lead us and direct our lives again as it was in the beginning, to deal with our problems and solve them Acts 1:8, Malachi 3:1-3.

Jesus said on the cross before He died ... IT IS FINISHED! The work of redemption is finished, He has taken our sins upon Himself and given us the way to salvation. We need not strive anymore but simply come to God in prayer and in an attitude of genuine repentance. Seeking His righteousness in us.

So I hope that I have given you hope in your predicament. Please do not do something stupid but if you want continued councelling please let me know I will be glad to oblige

Yours in Christ
Donald

wow thankyou donald yes things have been hard where I couldnt see a way out but you know I read and reread your reply and one thing that I hadnt reallized is that I hadnt gone to God because I felt unworthy. I will go to him now Thankyou

Praying for you

Dear Mr Popples,

I dont know what it is that you are going through but I have prayed for you and I know that God will restore your faith in Him and that you will overcome this dark period you are going through

I know that I was feeling the same as you a few weeks ago. I couldnt eat, sleep or get up to go work. To be honest, I didnt want to live anymore and the only thing that made me feel better and restored my faith in Him was to talk to other Christians and to read my bible.
I didnt know where to turn to in the bible or what scriptures to read because i didnt have a clue so I just opened it and read. I dont know how it happened but every time I opened a page it was like God was speaking directly to me and encouraging me. That alone began to restore my faith in Him.

If you ever need to chat or talk, I'll be here for you ok.

God Bless
