Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2 Tim 1:8

Amen brother :)

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Most people don't want to hear that "affliction" stuff. They are always looking for an easier, softer way to do God's will. They don't believe that affliction is ever on God's agenda for us.

I once heard Oral Roberts say, "It isn't easy being a Christian, it costs you your life!" While that may not be literally true in the western world, it is often literally true in Asia, the Middle East, the jungles of Africa and South America, etc.It is, however, figuratively true everywhere.

God doesn't go for half-hearted Christianity. There are millions of people who park their rear ends in church pews every weekend who are in for an awful shock on Judgement Day when The Lord says to them, "I never knew (had a relationship with) you. Away from me, you evildoers!" (Mt 7:23)
