I had opportunity to go eat at an all you can eat buffet. I sit in the corner at a small table; one doesn't take up much space. I always face the crowd to observe how they interact and react with each other. Now, in comes a man of about 40 or so, who sits at the table next to me. He was dressed in blue jeans and a t-shirt; it had a small cross on the front and the back said "By His Stripes I Am Healed". He faced the opposite way, looking outside, away from the people. I have a rag on my head and a motorcycle t-shirt on.
We sit eating in silence and the Lord began to show me this man. The waitress comes by and sees I have some shrimp. She enquires if I need any tarter sauce or shrimp sauce. I tell her no. When my tea glass would get low she would just bring me another. I have asked her to do nothing for me, but when one walks in favor with God, people just seem to cater to you, even thou they don't know why or even that they are. The man becomes very demanding with the lady. He wanted another Pepsi, even thou he still had 3/4 of a glass. He also demanded a cup of coffee, even thou he was far from finished. I didn't ask for a cup of coffee upon finishing my dinner; the woman came and asked me if I would like a cup of coffee. I said, "Yes" with a smile.
The man looks at me and says, "that was pretty good. A little spendy, but good." I said, "Yes, the evening dinners cost a little more than lunch." The Lord had put it upon my heart to ask the man "if he was ready for what was coming?" He said, "what is coming? Are you talking about God?" I shook my head yes and supped my coffee. He proudly said, "Yes, I am." He pointed to the cross on his t-shirt and said, "see my cross?" I said, "I really don't think anyone is ready for the vengeance and wrath to come." He said, "Are you baptized?" I shook my head yes and said, "you know, He has a baptism to be baptized with. Man can not do this baptism for you." He said, "well I am too; on this day and month of this year I received the Holy Ghost; tongue speaking, Holy Ghost filled." He said, "do you speak in tongues?" I shook my head yes. Then, the man quickly scurried away.
I heard the Lord in that quiet still voice; darkness flees from the light.
Oh Lord; the man had an exact date and year he was baptized in You. He wore a cross that he pointed to.
Are you hearing me, brothers and sisters. That cross on your shirt or around your neck is absolutely worthless. The cross of Jesus Christ is engrafted upon the tables of our heart or it isn't. Do you know Him? Has He started a fire within you? A flaming fire that ministers to every passing creature or even unto the wind that blows? The Lord is always listening, even when we think no one else is. Are you a ministering spirit of the Lord God? Then, it is time to be one. Amen
Folks I don't have a dated bible that was given me on the day I was baptized in the Holy Ghost. I was there, and God was there. Amen. I can come close, but I can not tell you "on such and such day..." I can tell you it was winter; cause I was breaking up dead limbs out of the woods for firewood. It was cold and wet, for a snow had just about melted away. I can tell you it was a day that the Lord had made. I can tell you what happened to me when I was baptized in the Holy Ghost. It was a supernatural baptism that man can not perform. And, it is a supernatural testimony that I will carry in my heart forever. I will testify of that day and many other supernatural happenings in the Lord, to all who want to know Him. Amen. It is what I have been sent forth to do.
All praise, glory and honor be to God. Amen
