Seed Time
Written by Michelle Ross
Carlie watched her Grandfather work in the Garden how he carefully pulled the weeds away from the good plants and how he checked for any insects that might be chewing up his vegetables. She pulled out a little orange seed she had in her pocket she had been saving that she had gotten from an orange from one of his orange trees. She looked at the tiny seed. Thinking of the tall tree it would make, when she plants it. Her Grandfather saw her holding the tiny seed in her hand and walked over too her.
He patted her on the head and asked, “ well Carlie would you like to plant that seed?”
She smiled and answered, “ yes, grandpa.”
He took her by the hand and walked to the greenhouse.
He asked her, “Do you know what all you need to plant seed?”
She answered with excitement, “yes, grandpa good soil, water, and sunlight!”
He grinned, and answered, “ yes, Carlie very true but the most important thing of all you forgot.”
She looked at him puzzled, and asked, “ what is that Grandpa?”
He answered her saying, “God and faith, You cant plant seed and expect it to produce anything without God or Faith!
You have to believe that when you plant that seed it will become what you have planted it to be.”
She looked at him, and said, “Hard work too, I see you all the time working out there in the garden.”
He answered her by saying, “yes I weed the garden, and remove any thing that could harm it, but God does the rest child. My faith in him is where my rewards for my hard labor comes from. He is the one that makes things grow. We can only plant and tend too but he is the one who causes it to prosper.”
They poured some rich soil in a pot and placed the seed in the dirt then watered it. Carlie laid her hands on the ground around the seed and her Grandfather placed his hands over hers they closed they’re eyes and prayed,
“Father in the name of Jesus we believe in your word that what ever we ask for in your name will be done and we are claiming this seed to be a strong and healthy orange tree that will produce much great fruit in Jesus name amen.”
He kissed her forehead as she stood up to place her pot on the greenhouse shelf.

Much like us in everyday things we do its all seed we plant whether it be in our finances or just being a witness to a lost soul we have to have faith in that seed we plant. But God makes that seed grow and become what its called to be.
He expects us to work that seed though by continuing to believe and protect our seed by keeping all impure things from corrupting it.
Think of it this way once a farmer decides to plant seed he goes out and finds the best area in his fields to plant. Then he tills the ground removing all stones and weeds from the ground. Then he fertilizes the ground with the proper nutrients and then he begins to plant his seed. After he has planted his seed he waters and waits. Once his seed begins to grow he walks out over the garden checking his crop for weeds and insects. He continuously protects and cares for his crop. Such as we should do over our family friend’s finances and anything else we want to grow and prosper. We have to continue to work the seed we have planted and care for it. If you don’t then weeds and insects will come and destroy the very thing you have planted for. The devil will use little foxes to destroy the vine! Such as doubt and disbelief.
Start claiming that seed to become what you have intended it to be.
Even though the seed doesn’t take form into what its called to become over night it will eventually take root! Well this is just a little message on seed I hope you enjoy it and it blesses you!
May each of you receive a 100-fold harvest!
God bless
1 Cor 3:5-9
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe-as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.
