Self righteous - having or characterized by a certainty, especially an unfounded one, that one is totally correct or morally superior.
We all fall into the trap of concluding prematurely in our favor on an investigation into our own wrong doings.
It is not 'our' fault. 'I am not the bad one. Others and God have to be to blame. He has it out for me'.
Dangerous space it is to unfairly indict 'God of the universe'. Now, He is fortunately not an immature and foolish human Num 23:19, He can see right into our heart Jer 17:9-12.
I would say training ourselves to always accept and know that God is good and right in every situation is essential to a healthy Christian life. Many an atheist have this mindset of self righteousness. Their examination into the facts of their frustrations with God did not go A-Z. It stopped early and they concluded that God is to blame for all their unhappiness, problems and bad life experiences.
A sad space to be. We do no damage to others and God. We only further damage ourselves. A life away from the truth is a life in a lie where we harden our heart to God helping us. Delaying much needed healing and restoration.
Let's avoid this trap of us prematurely judging God as unrighteous and ourselves as righteous. It is arrogance and only delays the problems from being properly dealt with.
