Any Christian tempted to join a riot?

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

1 Peter 4:1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

Titus 3:1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

The optimal choice is a peaceful one but God knows that given human nature violence is going to happen at some point.
If there is something you feel strongly about and want to protest peacefully that is best. At these there are police and EMTs b/c should something happen the violence needs to be stopped asap and the injured removed and given aid.
Riots by definition are not peaceful.

One of the primary problems with rioting besides the obvious (violence, hatred, anger), is that the motives
are often because one is trying to hold unto gains in this worldly Kingdom.

Whether they be political, corporate, a certain standard of living, sense of justice, economic disparity, etc.

However Jesus reminded us that His Kingdom is not of this world. His Kingdom (rule) is within us. The Kingdom
or the rule of God is in the believer as they submit to the Holy Spirit to bring God's Will on earth as it is in Heaven.
We don't need to riot to force politics (God is on the throne), or a standard of living or economic disparity (God will provide), or a sense
of Justice (God is the ultimate Judge and will punish evil).

Should we riot? Yes. We should riot against our fleshly natures and sinful desires which try to rule over us and be our master.
Should we riot? Yes. We should riot against the pull of pride to elevate self above Christ.
Should we riot? Yes. We should riot against unbelief and self-centeredness, and the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.
Should we riot? Yes. We should riot the tendency to elevate the opinion of man higher than the WORD of God.

***These riots are within the self (internal)

And when we successfully overthrow self and put Christ on the throne, the rest will be easier to discern.

One could say that Jesus, "rioted" in the temple when he kicked out the money changers.
However He could only do so because he had no riot within himself against the flesh that he needed to overcome.
Therefore He was free to be led by the Holy Spirit however God wanted Him to act.

So riots in the worldly sense, should not be under-taken unless the riot within against the self has been conquered.

Mohandas K. Gandhi, often referred to as Mahatma, the Great Soul, was born into a Hindu merchant family in 1869. He was heavily influenced by the Hinduism and Jainism of his devoutly religious mother. She impressed on him beliefs in non-violence, vegetarianism, fasting for purification, and respect for all religions.

South Africa > When the Boer legislature passed a law requiring that all Indians register with the police and be fingerprinted, Gandhi, along with many other Indians, refused to obey the law. He was arrested and put in jail, the first of many times he would be imprisoned for disobeying what he believed to be unjust laws.

While in jail, Gandhi read the essay “Civil Disobedience” by Henry David Thoreau, a 19th-century American writer. Gandhi adopted the term “civil disobedience” to describe his strategy of non-violently refusing to cooperate with injustice, but he preferred the Sanskrit word satyagraha (devotion to truth).

After 20 years in South Africa, Gandhi went home to India in 1914. When Gandhi returned, he was already a hero. Gandhi devoted the rest of his life struggling against what he considered three great evils afflicting India. One was British rule, which Gandhi believed impoverished the Indian people. The second evil was Hindu-Muslim disunity caused by years of religious hatred. The last evil was the Hindu tradition of classifying millions of Indians as a caste of “untouchables.” Untouchables, those Indians born into the lowest social class, faced severe discrimination.

Gandhi expected Britain to grant India independence after World War I. When it did not happen, Gandhi called for strikes and other acts of peaceful civil disobedience. The British sometimes struck back with violence, but Gandhi insisted Indians remain non-violent. Many answered Gandhi’s call. But as the movement spread, Indians started rioting in some places. Gandhi called for order and cancelled protests. He drew heavy criticism from fellow nationalists, but Gandhi would only lead a non-violent movement.

Gandhi was jailed many times. At one trial he said, “In my humble opinion, non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good.” When he was released, he continued leading non-violent protests.

When India finally gained independence, the problem became how Hindus and Muslims would share power. Distrust spilled over into violence. Gandhi spoke out for peace and forgiveness.
He opposed dividing the country into Hindu and Muslim nations, believing in one unified India. In May 1947, British, Hindu, and Muslim political leaders, but not Gandhi, reached an agreement for independence that created a Hindu-dominated India and a Muslim Pakistan.
As Independence Day (August 15, 1947) approached, an explosion of Hindu and Muslim looting, rape, and murder erupted throughout the land. Millions of Hindus and Muslims fled their homes, crossing the borders into India or Pakistan.

Gandhi announced that he would fast until “a reunion of hearts of all communities” had been achieved. An old man, he weakened rapidly, but he did not break his fast until Hindu and Muslim leaders came to him pledging peace.
Days later, an assassin shot and killed Gandhi. The assassin was a Hindu who believed Gandhi had sold out to the Muslims.

Gandhi and others like Martin Luther King Jr. confronted injustice with non-violent methods. “It is the acid test of non-violence,” Gandhi once said, “that in a non-violent conflict there is no rancour left behind and, in the end, the enemies are converted into friends.”

I do see the prince of this world is trying very hard to draw the line now between Biden & Trump. Whether or not he succeeds in creating another American Civil War, Jesus is still Lord.

Psalm 92:5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.

John 16:1These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

It is said that a nation falls because of immorality.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Amen, exactly what I was sharing. You are spot on.
Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

John 14:1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Psalm 33:18Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

A christian may do any thing she or him may well please! But A True Child of The LIVING GOD, even such a thought of Rioting, Will GREIVE The SIPIRT of THE LIVING GOD as If The Filth of The EARTH as Poured down upon His HEAD! And he cannot Riot! But many profess christians and church members do not have The SPIRIT of The LIVING GOD in Them, The PARAKLETOS does not RESIDE in THEM, If HE DID, they cannot engage in such disobedience! But Church members can do any thing, Because they have another leader! And their leaders, will have a escape clause to justify such actions as the Will of The permissive will of The Living GOD! Instead of The Obedience of The CROSS of The LIVING GOD. I say this in The Mighty Name of JESUS, It Is evil to even Riot for your own rights! We must not do evil to correct a wrong! But Summit and bow and be mistreated and abused by The enemy's hand,

For our Father will greatly revenge, he will repay! For i am a "Child of the LIVING GOD" i have Bow down and suffer much, by the hands of man, White and black and especially of those who profess to be Christians and the church members of this land, And my God, has avenge and will avenge me much more, if I do not defend myself!:pensive: If they want to nail me to the cross, then nail me, if they want to lie on me, then lie on me, if they want to call me every name but a child of The LIVING GOD, then do it, if you want to rob me, then rod me and take my coat and my shoes while you are at it! I will not complain! i have learn down through the years to fall in love with pain, pain of heart pain of soul, pain from my own family members, pain from those who claim they are friends! There is only one I can trust, and I know he Loves me! i know his son die for me and i don't need a witness from any man or woman!

The Witness is in MY SOUl and That Witness will Never never leave me alone, in my tears and my pain he comforts me when i am all alone! I refuse to protect myself! So many times I deny my strength, my Abilities, my powers to defend. and bow down. unto the intelligent and to the ignorant to the learn and the unlearn. being obedient to His voice who's Word I Hear in my mind, many of times in tears. and laugh at and mocked in return. Will I riot in my defense for my rights in this world, I tell you, I will not!:pensive: In this day and age I will not.

For many that have been saved or are being saved might know him as savior, but down through the years, he have become to me so learned to call him "My LORD".:pensive: and I have learn to bow to his Word. and He so have broken me. Even by my prayers for him to do it so.:pensive: He has become My "LORD"! and i love him a love that I cannot explain. Even so much more than when i first believe. Many times i think this cannot be real. it can.t be real how he dwells in My SOUl. it can't be real! But I cannot deny, what i feel Him in my Soul.:pensive: Broken But Powerful in my SOUL!

As long as it is pleasing to the Lord, but if what they are doing is not pleasing to the Lord, then they will answer for it to the Lord.

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

2 Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

A child of God can go astray and yet answer the call to repent to depart from iniquity so they can be vessels unto honor ready to be received by the Bridegroom at the rapture event when God shall judge His House first.

A "child of the Living God Is not ignorant and he or she knows, what their father wants them to do and know, He is not like a earthly father who might LEAVE his child in darkness or abandon them. He is GOD, their Father and not like another. HE never leaves his child in darkness for our Father is there too, he leads them even in the darkness and gives the strength to go through that valley!. HE always leads them in Truth> And He always make sure they know His voice. He is not a earthly creature. And Our Father is everywhere he even dwells in Hell, even if a person makes his bed in hell he is there.

Our FATHER is there! We cannot escape His Presence, even IF we tried to run away, There is no where we can go! An He promise He would Never, Never forsake us or leave us by ourselves.:pensive: Be sure of This, If You are BORN OF GOD, you cannot climb back up into HIS WOMB and not be "BORN"! you will always Be his Child! And He will ALWAYS LOVE you and HIS Love Will never end. and cannot fail.

You will always be His child. and the gates of hell cannot prevail against you, There is not one thing, be it angels , demons, depression, sickness can conquer your soul, it is SEAL by his hand, "ETERNAL LIFE": Whether you believe it or not .if You have been "BORN from ABOVE" that is "BORN" of GOD" and not a change of mind, BUT BORN! BORN! I did not say believe in GOD but I said: "BORN" of GOD"! :pensive: not A earthly Creature, But "Born from ABOVE" A heavenly Creature trap in a earthly body that draws you to SIN! And you know, you do not belong here. And you long, to go home. And you hate the very sin that draws you to it! :pensive:

For many think they are a "True child of The LIVING GOD" they really believe that they are.:pensive: with all of their soul and mind, and they have been lied too, to believe that they really are. [on purpose] thinking , if they believe it, it will come true. That is a dangerous. Proclamation to be made! given to anybody, "you must be "Born from ABOVE' You Must Be BORN of GOD! A earthy birth cannot make you a "child of GOD" A earthly birth can only make you a "child of a Man" "A Child of A Human being"! and not A child of the Living GOD!

Now you can believe I am lying to you. But the day will come, you have been warn! You have no excuse! Now is the DAY, your salvation is At hand! Ask him to give you His Spirit, Tell him I want to be " BORN from ABOVE" I want to become your child and know it to be True! I want your "Holy SPIRIT" tell Him to FILL you with The POWER that comes from on HIGH!

Since the Father will not leave His children in darkness, then those saints that gets left behind are still His children just as the prodigal son was still his child when he spent his inheritance on wild living and can never get it back, but he is still son.

Look at the consequence for not running that race by not resisting sin.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

If you tie in the scourging in verse 6 above to the stripes those saints that will get left behind for not being ready below in verses 47-48, then you may see how the Father will not leave His children in darkness even though left behind.

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled.

I going stop you right now! GOD is no drunk, he is no drug addict, He does not abandon his Children like a dog does, but you might think he acts like one but he does not, since you might abandon yours because they have done something bad. But grace and mercy is given not earn. salvation is a “Gift”.

I merely agreed with you that the Father will not leave His children in darkness, and that includes those saints left behind at the rapture event as disqualified to attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven because they were found in iniquity.

So those that have gone astray and get left behind, Jesus will finish His work in them like you said.. the Father will not leave His children in darkness for why I say stripes will be coming on them so they will not commit those sins again so they may be partakers of His holiness.

If you still disagree then address the scripture in Hebrews 12:1-11 & Luke 12:40-49 in what God is saying there in His words if you believe I am applying His words wrong to the very issue we are talking about.

In a different sense, I believe the scripture teaches, that some will be "saved" out of "great tribulation" that the world have never seen. But those who are "caught up" into the air to be with him, has been ordain by Him to be at "The Coronation Table" are chosen to be there, for a purpose and GOD will Reveal everything to them. Then Those will return with Christ to REIGN with Him, on planet earth from "The New JERUSALEM that Descends from Heaven A shared Inheritance Joint rule. For "GOD" has a purpose and A plan according to what he wants, He is The builder. He does not build as it a goes.

He is the ARCHITECT. Nothing happens by chance. Every brick is in place and where it is supposed to be. For He has "ORDAIN" it to be. He is "GOD" every demon every Angel, even The Devil is right where he is supposed to be every moment. Not One hair is out of place.

Hebrews is another story, and to arrive at its point, Other parts of Scripture must be in place to receive That TRUTH, Or To Hit The Bull's eye of That "TARGET"! Whom, the "LETTER" is Address Too.:pensive:

I agree that everything is ordained including who will be the vessels unto honor as resurrected & taken up for the Marriage Supper from the vessels unto dishonor left behind & resurrected after the great tribulation; the sheepfold that follow His voice to be willing to go when the Bridegroom comes from the sheepfold that followed a stranger's voice using tongues for private use John 10:1-5 as they shall eventually all be of the one fold and one shepherd. John 10:16

I believe it is not up to the person where they will be, But His appoint place that was establish before The Foundation of THE WORLD, before time or the future existed. before there was anything created. GOD did not look into a Future because A Future did not exists. For He "ORDAIN" everything to be! Mans will means nothing to GOD,, HIS WILL SUPERsedes all wills! Thy will be done!

One fold means Only one people of GOD! That was establish before any thing existed! Have not there always one people of GOD? And who created the one people? and when were they created.

When you use terminology as the "WEDDING FEAST" That is "Anthropomorphic" language. There is no real wedding! It is A CORONATION CEREMONY! This IS not a EARTHLY THING! this is a Crowning and rewarding Event! In Heaven.

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.:eyes:

May I ask why Jesus said what He did in verse 29 above? This is why I believe there is a Marriage Supper in Heaven. He even mentioned it again in relation to another man's comment.

Luke 14:15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.:eyes:
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many::eyes:

17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.:eyes:

Did Jesus correct him by saying there is no actual supper in Heaven? No. But He did warn how those invited, the saved, will treasure their lives on earth to not want to come when the Marriage Supper is ready in Heaven.

Just sharing why I believe there really is a Marriage Supper in Heaven at the rapture event and why many saved believers will be ensnared by the cares like Lot's wife, that they would not want to go.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,:eyes: and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.:eyes:
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.:eyes:

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.:eyes:

32 Remember Lot's wife.:eyes:

33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.:eyes:

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

So we are not to treasure our lives on earth nor anything we value as we are to pray to Him for help to leave everything we care about behind to attend the King's Supper in Heaven for when the Bridegroom comes.
