Should we only confess our sins to God?

When we sin, should we only confess our sins to God/Jesus? Or should we confess them to other people also?

I think if we commit certain kinds of sins, like lusting for a woman I'm not married to for example, should only be between you and God.
In this case, I think it would probably make things worse if you did confess it to her.
Maybe this would also apply to coveting your neighbors Ferrari. Maybe you only have to confess this to God.

But what about other kinds of sins? What if I stole money from you? Should I only confess this God, or should I confess it to you?
In this case, is confessing it enough, or should I try to make restitution and pay you back if I can?
What if it was unintentional? Maybe I bought some things at a store, and they forgot to charge me for something. Should I go back and tell them?
Should I just keep it and confess it to God?

What about sins of accountability? For example say I'm not married, but I'm having sex with someone, now maybe that person is a Christian also.
Should I confess my sin of fornication to only God and them (they already know about it, and so does God) or should I confess it to another Christian
I trust to help me repent of this give me accountability?

What about sins you commit that confessing them could be dangerous? For example I'm a married woman who had a affair with a co-worker.
I feel guilty about this, and I know I should tell my husband, but if I do, I'm afraid he will kill me (literally).

Does un-confessed sin keep God from blessing us? Some verses I had in mind when I was posting this are...

Jas 5:16; Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

1 John 1:9 tells us if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness. That is the first priority. That we stay in close fellowship with God. If by confessing a sin to another I am helping build trust and commitment to that person and heal hurts then it is right to confess it. If I am in an accountability partnership with someone and I know that what I confess is confidential then it is often healthy to confess. I think you have to think about motives before you confess sins

What we need now is a confessional?

Sometimes we are oblivious to our sins and need someone to tell us - is that the time we should confess instead of denying and making up excuses?

Would doing the confessing like this be more complete than me or anyone just feeling compelled to tell someone of something I/they know already to be not suitable for the Kings Bride?

have seen often this unwillingness to confess when something is brought up and it causes great problems if not for strict adherence to the rules of God given in the epistles for the Church and His Grace

but if one comes to you and says that you are doing something quite wrong and you are willing to see it and agree (confess) the process from there is only upwards and a blessing to all

I believe we only confess our Sins to our LORD JESUS ! But we can confess our faults in a certain area ! Telling what took place can cause great harm to others and ourselves! satan wants to use others to destory us all !

We all are going too be weak in certain areas of our lives !
