I am Lifted Up
I am Lifted Up
When men are cast down,
I am lifted up.
He reaches down from on high
And takes hold of me,
He draws me out of deep waters,
He rescues me from my foes
Who are too strong for me.
The Lord is my support,
He it is who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
He gives me his shield for victory
And his right hand sustains me.
When men are cast down,
I am lifted up.
When a thousand fall on this side
And ten thousand on the other side,
I, I am lifted up.
He stoops down to make me great,
He makes my feet like those of a deer;
He enable me to stand on the heights
When men are cast down,
I am lifted up.
Praise be to my Rock,
Exalted be God my Saviour,
Who lifts me up.
When men are cast down.

This short praise which derives from sections of Psalm 18, has helped me focus on the vision that God had of me when He first thought of me. Especially when I go through trying times.
