So what do you do with this Zealous Savior?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The Lamb is a Lion who's roaring with rage at the empty religion that's filling their days..." So goes the song by Michael Card, referring to Jesus when he cleansed the temple. Many people don't know what to do with the Jesus in John 2. First He goes to a wedding and turns water into wine, and now He's making a whip, knocking over tables, and driving people out of the temple. He cries out, "Take these things away; stop making my Father's house a place of business!" Can you see this Jesus, with His strong, tan, carpenter's arms, as He wields His whip and drives out the merchants? Can you feel the passion as you see His eyes burn with fire? His disciples felt it, and they remembered the prophecy in Scripture, "Zeal for Your House will consume Me." So what do you do with this Zealous Savior? May I suggest that you embrace Him? That's right, because He is zealous in His love for you! Christ burns with passion for the purity of His Bride, the Church. He wants you to be holy just as He is holy. And He will sweep into your life with eyes ablaze to drive out anything and everything that is not of Him. Remember, Jesus seeks to be your Lord and Savior. He won't just be your Savior; He demands to also be your Lord and Master. God loves you and sent His Son to prove it. Abandon yourself to Him today. Let the zealous, passionate fire of His Love consume all in your life that is not of Him. God be with you all...

Great thread sister thank you for sharing this. Indeed, we must give our selves up and take up our cross with the Lord. God is an awesome GOD and He deserves our praise, our worship and our obedience!

Matthew 10:38
and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
