Welcome, Sarah. You'll find this to be a great site and the people to be truly loving.

I can't help but ask you something vis-a-vis your comment that you do not feel God's love: Where are you looking for it?

When I first came to Christ, I expected God's love to be expressed only in manifestations of His power through supernatural magic acts. I tended to see the things of Nature around me as ho-hum, mundane, maybe even boring.

But, as I listened to good preaching and studied God's Word, I realized that His creating the world and turning it over to mankind was an act of love. Now I can look all around me and be awestruck by His love as I look at the glorious colors of autumn on the trees in my neighborhood, when I see an airplane streaking across the sky , or when I hear squirrels chattering in the maple tree in my back yard.

I realize now that all the works of Nature that I took for granted for so long, are a freely given gift from our Creator, freely given.

What an awesome God He is!

I do see God's amazing power and love in nature. I know that he loves his children very much, and I know that I'm forgiven, etc. But somehow I can't get a grasp of how that general love for everybody translates into specific love for me, you know? Cuz I know if I was the omnipotent creator, *I* sure wouldn't love me! lol.
