There are some things in Scripture we really don't want to talk about. We tend to think we are saved and all will work out in the end. But that's not exactly the way God see's it. There are some things God has said that we must face and confirm in our own lives.
For example, let's look at something God said in 2 Cor. 5:17-18.
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
God has clearly said here if you separate yourself from the things of the world He will receive you. What happens if you don't separate yourself from the things of this world? Will He receive you?
We know that God chastises His children if they continue in disobedience, but what will happen if you disregard that correction because you have drifted so far from God in this world.
These are some things we must consider with our own selves. We can't help but to be in this world, but are we making a serious effort to distance ourselves from the things of this world?
This is not something we want to discuss personally, but it is something we must keep a check on if we claim Christ as our Savior.
