Watch therefore [give strict attention and be cautious and active], for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come. Matthew 25:13 AMPC
You can find encouragement in the Lord anytime you need to. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, disheartened, or disturbed, you’ll always find relief in remembering the goodness of God.
When you feel alone or abandoned, when you lose heart or question your future in the Lord, He wants you to understand that you have believed a lie. There will come a day when He returns. Knowing the exact time when He’ll return is less important than knowing and believing that He will return.
This is just one example of a way that you can hold tight to the supernatural courage that keeps you anchored in this moment and then gives you hope for every moment between now and the promised return of God’s Son.
Watch, pay attention, use caution, and be active in preparing for the day simply called “soon.” God wants you to be ready. That means keeping your hold on things here very lightly. This isn’t your forever home. Taking heart for a coming reunion with God will always be a most excellent decision.
Prayer: I believe Jesus came. I believe He died for my sin, God. I believe there’s life after life and a place for me—with You. Encourage me to keep following until then.
