need encouragement. Feeling very alone. Husbands in prison. Raising kids on my own. Its just hard. My youngest daughter doesn't wanna go to school.
Awww .... Jody, what an awful place you're in at the moment, poor you. Poor daughter, must be awful trying to get her head around why her lovely, gorgeous Dad has been branded a con and banged up inside. The fact that she's struggling tells me she's very sensitive and needs a lot of chat, talk, love, support and understanding. Try and get her onside. To you and to her can I give you this passage from Matthew 11:27-30 -
All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
These are not just nice, soothing words; they're a very powerful promise. Earlier in the Chapter Jesus was castigating His detractors but to make sure that His followers realised He was not talking to them, He gave them and us this promise. Please read this passage to your daughter and explain to her that you can both trust that Jesus will bring you through, and if you can muster enough faith to believe them and take them as fact, your lives will be so much easier and more tolerable, and whether you believe them or not, God will get you through this intact.
Long time ago I had a brush with the law, on reflection I didn't deal with it very well but God pulled me through. If you want to chat feel free to PM me a one-liner I'll gladly start the ball rolling but warn you I'm not the most prolific writer due to time pressures.
Meantime, I'm definitely praying for you. God bless you, hubby and daughter xx
