Student of the Week

[Dreamer]

Hi this is Dreamer here. I'm just beaming away; I can't stop smiling long enough to take a sip of coffee.

Not that long ago, I was in the Parents thread asking for prayer for my daughter. She has overcome a lot of obstacles (through God's help). The Lord has heard my cries for help and healing.

I love her so much, but God loves her even more.

I am so proud right now, I'm about to burst. The school guidance counselor just called me 5 minutes ago to give me this good news.

My daughter's teacher nominated her for Student of the Week. She gets her name and picture in the local newspaper and a little "biography" written up about her by the teacher that nominated her. Her name and her parents names also get announced over our radio station here. Only one student is chosen each school week, out of the whole school, and it's a big school. I keep rambling, I guess I'm excited for her.

She has shown so much improvement that it's hard to tell that she's the same person. I knew that that sweet, studious girl was still in there somewhere under all that pain and angst.
