Sunday School Class

Today after church, a Decon(the current sunday school teacher) of my church approached me and asked if I would want to teach the adult sunday school class a couple of times. I was pretty shocked, but I said I would think and pray about it. He said it had been on his heart for awhile.

I want to do all I can for God and I thank Him that he gave me this opprutinity. I'm really shy and I'm not a good speaker at all. I'm kind of like Moses in a way. I've never did anything like this before, the last time I gave a speech was for school. I chose to do a speach about my testimony of how I got saved because I thought to myself, "this is a good opprotunity to do something for the Lord." To be quite honest, I was so nervous that I about passed out. LOL I'm going to pray that God gives me the strength and courage to do this. I get nervous just even thinking about it. So please for you that read this, pray that God gives me the strength to do this and pray that the Holy Spirit leads me.

I am sure you will be able to do this. You will have to take the time to charge your batteries, read Christian literature, the bible, and pray.

A challenge indeed. Not knowing anything about your future life plans I cannot say much more.

Small tip: Make a new thread in the lounge or Church and sermons and discuss which topic (s) you are going to discuss with the Sunday school class.

People on TJ might be able to lend you a hand on getting the output of it right, I know brother Stephen is a preacher, so he'll definitely have some wonderful input for you.

The trick is not to think that TJ is going to write the sermons for you, but that we can be of assistance.

I have a question about this Cody, what ages will you be working with if you are led by the Holy Spirit to do this work?

I know that a lot of Sunday school classes over here have books that they work from when they do classes. Yes, there is preparation to do before hand as well. This will help us to know whether you are working with others who are similar age to you or younger ones.
