Hello, I wanna know what you guys think about this...
Does Television ministry help draw unbelievers to Christ or it just caters to the believers?I mean a person who is totally alien to the Gospel... can he be saved through T.V.?
Let me know what you think

I believe they are powerful including:

BGEA (Billy Graham)
Send / Gospel Asia
Joel Osteen
Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN)

These are just some examples. No doubt of the power of the Holy Spirit in them

Hmmm- interesting question. Keeping in mind not all programs may show in all areas, I still have to concur that 'christian tv' is primarily for believers. I see more teaching than real expounding the salvation message. Christian programming has it's place- but I dont see alot of evangelistic content, on a consistant basis.

Delicate
I absolutely agree with you.Usually if unbelievers ever cross a Christian t.v. they change the channel.Christian T.V. usually helps believers

I agree, most T.V. ministry is for believers, and a small percentage will get thru the unbelievers.
But that should not stop us from preaching the gospel of Christ by anyway we can.
I also believe that in other countries besides the USA, more people are reached for Christ through T.V. than they are here in the USA.

I have met and heard of people who were saved because of listening to radio or TV preachers, and were saved in their homes, or went to find a church after hearing the Word broadcast & then found the Lord.
There are many ways of reaching the lost and TV & radio are included.

Oh..Oh..you got me wrong,I'm not against T.V.We should spread the gospel in every way,I agree. But since I'm from a developing country,India....I'll tell you what happens around me.Most Christians watch GodTV ,Miracle Net etc but they just awe at the evangelists and the healings...they don't look at the Power behind it..And out of the total population only 2% are 'Christians.'And to tell you the truth most 'Christians' around me don't find anything wrong in worshipping Mary or the 'saints' or praying to them.
We need something more powerful than just T.V. ...something like...I dunnno what....I really feel sick when I listen to the silly ,the utterly silly beliefs among 'Christians' here.It breaks my heart...such lovely people being led away by heresies, blasphemies

It can get unbelievers saved. I live in the USA and a man I was working with, had a son who lived in Surinam, South America. He sent for his son and our boss gave him a job. When I met Marlon he was saved and a good godly man. He told us he had gotten saved by watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV.

He was sadden by the fall of the ministry years later. He is thankful that he was able to get to know Jesus by watching Jimmy Swaggart.

I also know a few unsaved people who watch the 700 club and call them from time to time for prayer.

SO I think God can use TV ministries for both the saved and unsaved.

If it's Gods will they can be for non believers and believers, He's in charge. I know people who have watched 'The winning walk' with ED YOUNG and turned Christ.........

Bill Keller

I usually don't watch alot of tv ministries. To me it's like always give me, give me, give me money. I watch this man, Bill Keller when I can at 1 o'clock in the morning. He does live prayer request on tv. If you live in Florida you might know who I am talking about.

Fake Preachers

:thumbs_do I am strongly against the "fruits" that are not visible to the public. Paul Crouch was accused of homosexuality, Benny Hinn was accused of Many things, other T.V evangelists have likewise been exposed. There are many televangelists who are wolves in sheep clothing. BUT, there are wonderful God Lovin and fearing Pastors who are geniune and Bible based in their teaching. Likewise, there are many who are bad, bad, news! I don't doubt that Paul Crouch could share the gospel and God could save some through the words. But, But, Bad testimony could likewise be damaging. and confuse alot of sincere seekers.
