Ye are not your own, for ye are bought with a price
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.
Frances Ridley Havergal

These beautiful words were written in 1874 shorly before Frances Havergals death. I am currently reading her book written around the words of this hymn....'Kept for the Masters use'
She wrote:
'Take my life!' We have said it or sung it before the Lord ...many times; but if it were only once whispered in His ear with full purpose of heart, should we not believe that He heard it?
And if we know that He heard it, should we not believe that He has answered it, and fulfilled this our hearts desire?
For with Him hearing means heeding. Then why should we doubt that He verily did take our lives when we offered them- our bodies when we presented them....
Yes He who is able and willing to take unto Himself is no less able and willing to keep for Himself'
It amazes me daily to think that He has taken our lives into His keeping...we are His....we are children of the King of kings...wow.
Let us fully and whole heartedly consecrate our lives to Him.
His love deserves no less
I will add comments and quotes from the book prayerfully to this thread. May they be a blessing to the reader
