Talking with Jesus

[Br. Bear]

DO we shout as from afar
Or whisper in His ear
Can we talk to Jesus...
... Is He near?

So how do we talk
To One so great and mighty?
Can we approach and whisper
In His listening ear?

He has promised
And it is so true
That He will be with us forever
'Us' being me and you....

So can we talk to Jesus
As we talk to a friend?
Can we whisper gently to Him
And trust in His loving end?

We call and shout
And sing our songs...
We plead and beg and stir
And complain about all wrongs....

But have we tried to whisper
Into His loving ear
And found Our Beautiful Saviour
And Friend

Is not so far...

But near?
