I got born from above in "1977", "the Presbyters" declare me as " having a Miraculous Conversion". I said to myself after they told me GOD has called me for A special purpose and said go ahead I will see. "Those preachers have lost their minds" and God ain't called me no where. [i have never read a whole book in my life]. Within 7 days I have read the whole Bible and miss not one word. Within 1 month read the New Testament maybe over 30 times and the Old about twice. 1983 "Ordained by The Presbyters". I worn a lot of Bibles out 6 years. kJV Oxford press, ASV, RSV, NIV copyright 1977. You recall the scripture I Can turn right there to it and knew what book it was in. I could not recall verse numbers but could turn to it , thru the memory of reading it so much.
I knew the "The New Hiscox Guide for Baptist Churches" Book by heart"The Baptist Covenant" It's history. I knew how to organized and file organizing papers and file wth state government of starting a New Church. In Missionary fields.
With no aid or lawyers. I knew all of this before going before the "Ordaination broad"! In 1983.
"I studied to show myself approved of God,".
"If GOD called you, where is your fruit". Your fruit ! "Works without faith is dead". "Show me your faith by your works"
" That's is what they told me". On the 1st. Round by the "Presbyteries " of the Ordaination council. I wanted to cry. I will not tell you what they called me, because "Pastors don't talk like that"!
Who would know that one day I would be "Lecturing" and teaching and preaching to that Council of Pastors. And you can believe it I never pull any punches. God said: say it, just like it is written, and I will make your face like a Iron flint. They are not going to like it, but I am with you! And the Pastors kept calling me back.
Sometimes I would like to talk Truth to the Body of Christ, but there are Christian brothers and sisters that have no idea what is really going on in some of these churches. And what some have to go through in real leadership and "Pastorial" sermons.
And what force a real Pastor has to preach through. I am talking about those Who God Called to Pastor not the ones who felt God Called them or those who wanted to go and went. All that is going to be up to them and God. I am going stay in my own lane. And every now and then I do ask him, "please can I have a little fun right here" please. And I wait to get clearance and sometimes He says: it is going to be a repercussion. I say ok. like He didn't know in advance what was going to say. You see I have been speaking over 40 years. I took college classes in speaking too! I can write speeches, and impromptus, outline sermons, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 3 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 lhour sermons, I can do a lecture series on topics, Love, Agape, Family, grace, hope, son of God, Jesus, Genesis, The Cross, The Holy Spirit, God the Father, I have done these this things in high numbers. I have done Revivals, communion tables, I have "Baptize" , Bury people n Historical churches"! Only thing I really didn't like was preaching to a body of believers that did not like to read their whole bible. They are the most hardest people to preach to. It is like preaching to a solid wall. Non-believers are evangelistic sermons, true Christians is feeding breast milk, or plain milk, older ones , solid food, now meat eaters feed themselves! You might ask them to give you some. From the fresh kill. "Peter slay and eat". You cannot throw meat out into the congregation, people will be choking everywhere. That Pastoring I have not that temperate.
Now back to the thread Poster:
Bottom line "it is one on one", Not to the masses but "one on one". To the one He sends to you! And you must be ready to give Everyman an answer the hope that is in you! You cannot give what you do not have. If your light is dim your light shines dim. If you oil is low your light burns low. The Holy Spirit will bring to your memory, the "Holy Scripture" you have read or heard. For The Holy Spirit of GOD is also a "Reminder" to remind you what "Yeshur HaMashiach" has said, within the Book.
Your Testimony is your witness, your history is your greatest message of Jesus Christ you could possible give the way He brought you . The Bible is also a history book and a testimony how others made their pilgrimage. Their testimony also gave us strength and encouragement in our darkest hours. But never back down or compromise the Truth, "the sorrow of the world worked death but the gift that comes from God giveth life". So give life and not that worked death. [compromise]. Compromise soothes, but real life is produce in pain. Let no man robbed you from your sufferings. And steal not the pain from others but give comfort from the pain you endured through your own suffering that have accompanied you through out the years that has followed you.
