I am following Jessid9's example and being thankful for what I have. Yesterday seemed hard and my spirits were low. Today i am going to rejoice and be thankful for all I have been given.
Deliverance
I thank God for getting me through Uni in one piece which is amazing because I was fully off the rails. (Alcohol got the better of me and I think many times I was lucky to be alive. I fell through a window, hung upside down off stair rails, cycled along busy roads drunk to name a few incidents not to mention surviving 15 hour drink binges).
Uni and Career
I thank him for the friends I made at Uni.
I thank him for the qualifications I received that I didn't much deserve.
I thank him for the job I do because I am so blessed to work with young minds.
I thank him for his guidance in my teaching.
I thank him for my colleagues who are very protective of me.
My Family and friends
I thank him for my family who love me dearly.
I thank him for my healthy, beautiful niece.
I thank him for my great friends who are always there and tell me so.
I thank them for the fun we have on nights out,in and all the good times we share.
The Hard Stuff
I thank him for all the hard times he's delivered me through together with mum:
She found God again suffering in illnesss.
He has given her peace and eased her pains.
Good care is provided for her.
He gives me peace.
He gives me restful sleep at night ( At times I had just 30 mins sleep through worry about losing Mum and then had to manage at work for the whole day).
He carries me through hard situations and I am able to be brave.
I feel closer to God. I have felt his special presence in the night.
He saved me from deep sadness about Mum's illness.
We have become even closer (God, Mum and I).
The things I struggle with or sadly tire me
He brought me forgive my father for the hard times he has given my mother and I - through his harsh and horrible actions, judgements and words over many years. He now helps her practically at home and shows kindness. This has brought me peace. I thank him for stirring his heart too.
He gives me strength to be a practical help to Mum all the times she needs it.
He even pushes me when I am unaware she needs help. An example is when I turned up at the Hospice at 11:30 p.m. after leaving 10:30 p.m. I didn't know why I went back but she really needed help and didn't want to bother the nurses. God prodded me into action and led me there.
I thank him for guiding me back to live my parents again and making this decision even though it was hard. Also for looking after my house by providing good tenants.

I thank him for leading me here. The disciples have ministered to me beyond my comprehension. I am so lucky. I find peace and continue to learn here daily.
I thank him for providing my computer. There were only 4 given to 25 staff.
Better Relationship with him.
I thank him for bringing me closer to him.
These are just a few thank you's and just a part of my story. I am not worthy of all the blessings bestowed upon me daily. I take much for granted at times. The rest I'll try harder to tell God alone.
