When I read a new post and hear beyond mere words a heart crying out, I come to Jesus. When I stretch forth my trembling fingers to post, I am reaching out to Jesus. God is good

Sometimes that statement seems so bland; like saying grass is green or my shoes are black.

But, if we meditate on what God has done in our lives with the intention of glorifying Him rather than just basking in our own comfort, His goodness comes more into focus for what it is; His grace reaching out and touching our lives.

His goodness is much greater than any goodness that comes out of us through our minds and our wills. Our goodness is limited and imperfect, His is limitless and perfect. God's goodness is the rootbed of His love, from which all healing sprouts. It is the source of our spiritual food, as well as our worldly food.

Think about it: Every good thing that has ever happened or ever will happen to any human being, was born out of the goodness of God! "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change." (Jas 1:17).
