Thank you, Lord, for giving me life,
That I have woken to a new day,
Thank you for the seasons of the year,
and for their continuing function
Thank you for the overcast sky,
and the stillness of the air,
Mist enshrouded and at rest.
Thank you, Lord, for all the works of your creation,
Thank you, Lord, for peace.

Thank you.
Lord

Out of darkness - into light (1 Peter 2:9)
Out from under the law of sin and death - into the law of the spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2)
Out of bondage - into freedom (Galatians 5:1)

Thank you dear God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
In His Holy Name.

Hello there,

I am not a fearful person, but this morning I woke with a feeling of fear. I knew it's cause, and new that it was simply a fear of the unknown, and that my future, however short or long, was in God's hands, so that I need not fear: but it did not stop that gnawing feeling of an unspoken dread appearing from the depths of my subconscious and catching me unawares. So it was a joy this morning when opening my Bible, to have my eyes alight upon the words of the angel to Mary, saying 'Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee' 'fear not' (Luke 1:28-31)

The only time the Greek word, translated 'highly favoured' here (Gr. charitoo, Str. No. G5487), is used elsewhere in Scripture is in relation to those who have been saved by God's grace: who have been 'much graced'', which is what 'highly favoured' means. Yes, we have been equally 'highly favoured', by being, 'accepted in the Beloved' (Gr. charitoo) by God the Father (Ephesians 1:6). How wonderful is that?!

So, I praise God for His mercy and His grace yet again this morning.

Thank you, Lord.

1The LORD is my shepherd;a
I shall not want.

2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.

3He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
for the sake of His name.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,b
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.c

The Lord is My Salvation:pensive:

(Psalm 18:1-50; Psalm 28:1-9)

1{A Psalm of David.} The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

That soul, though all hell should endeavour to shake,
