Why do Christians fail, and fail, to live a perfected discipleship?

Now, here is the thing..
Your RIGHTEOUS is completed. Its a GIFT. "the Gift of Righteousness"..."the Gift of Salvation"....... the born again are : "MADE RIGHTEOUS".
Not being made.....but "MADE righteous".
See that?
That is a DONE DEAL if you are born again.......and not just water baptized and falsely thinking you are saved,....... but literally spiritually BORN AGAIN.......or as Jesus told you...>"you must be BORN AGAIN" Spiritually. And if you are, then you are NOW and ALWAYS "made righteous" and are become "the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God, in Christ".
So, the way you understand this perfectly is.......you realize this......>"can i be more righteous, then God has made me already though the Blood of Jesus and the Cross of Christ"?

So, you are not to try to become righteous after you are "made righteous"........... understand?
You are to exist AS this, in your FAITH and in your THEOLOGY and your BELIEF System....., which is to understand the spiritual reality regarding = who you have become as "a NEW CREATION"... "In Christ".

So what is the new creation ????? , that all the born again HAVE BECOME. ??? = ITs this....>"ONE WITH GOD"....>"The Righteousness of God > in Christ".
Thats YOU, if you are born again and not just water baptized , only.

See, 95% of the battle, regarding becoming a perfected Disciple, or as Paul describes them as....>"as many as be PERFECT"......instead of a sinning and confessing, often, failed Disciple, is nearly won automatically when you realize who you have become, IN CHRIST.
And that is......"the Righteousness of God". '""Made Righteous"". "" ONE with God, in Christ".

Once you see this, and understand it, and ACCEPT IT, then you are able to "put on the whole armor of God". As to Put it ON, is to BY FAITH, wear what you have become, "in Christ" already.
So, you put it on by FAITH, when you believe it, and walk as who you have become = "the righteousness of God, in Christ", ...as THEN you have actually started being a real disciple in KNOWLEDGE.

This is how you walk in the Armor of God.
Its all based on what you understand, regarding who you have already become ......= a "new Creation". "in Christ". "made Righteous"... "The righteousness OF GOD....in Christ"..

See, the reasons Christians fail and fail ..... is because they are trying to BE the Armor of God, by self EFFORT< .....instead of putting it on by knowledge of the TRUTH, in Faith.

I can sin all I want, I can be a homosexual child molester, or a man having multiple affairs on his wife.

What i wrote, is......you are to understand who you have. become , "in Christ".
And until you do, you will keep failing, (sinning and confessing).... the result of trying to be good, thinking that this is "being righteous".
So, if you teach that God's righteousness is YOUR behavior or deeds, or works, then you are indeed teaching doctrines of devils, as its the devil and his deceived who teach that LIFESTYLE is "righteousness".
Be sure you are not found doing that on a public forum, or from a church pulpit or in front of a Sunday School class.

See, Jesus said, "apart from ME, you can do NOTHING".
And to be Apart from Jesus, is to think and believe that "righteousness" is behavior.

My answer to you, is this... Im the same as anyone else who has led someone to the Cross of Christ, who became born again by the Spirit of God.
God changed them from dead, to Alive in Christ.

We who are actually born of the same Spirit that is in Christ are the children of God. We are no longer merely humans, we are Eternal beings in Temporal bodies until the Parousia when we will be like Christ (glorified bodies that can transverse the two realms...the spiritual and the material)...we ARE this NOW. The way we can discern the WHO fall into this category, as you said has nothing to do with taking a bath or saying some magic words (the sinners prayer) for many fo these things for false inner motive (to be part of the crowd, or having been swept up on the moment, or because it is your family or cultural tradition, or for personal gain, etc) .

But w can know over time by watching for the transformation in ourselves....are we acting more as Christ would have acted? Speaking and thinking more as He would think? And so on....we ARE now His body (He is the head) we should be shown to be doing what He did...go about doing good...feeding the poor, providing healing, setting the oppressed free, and so on.

Here are a few fun factoids to consider....the disciples paid their taxes (unlike many alleged Evangelical leaders today)....mammon was NOT their god (unlike many alleged Evangelical leaders today)...they did not try to take over the world's nations (governments) for Christ for He had rejected these kingdoms (unlike many alleged Evangelical leaders today).....so hear the heart of Jesus in HIS own words and be His body here and now (Matthew 24:31-46) and be as Sheep not goats...and you will produce a rich harvest. Bibles in the left hand and a gun in the right IS NOT the Jesus who is God's Messiah and is a man made image of a false Christ.

As a real, genuine, actual, "child of God" ask yourself if this is YOUR Jesus....stand against these make-believers by being the real Jesus among them. They are tares among the wheat, the five unwise virgins who the real Jesus does not know, goats not sheep, who say Lord, Lord, with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him...think on these matters and choose...Sheep or Goat? Which group are you part of? How about your leader/Pastor/Church theology? Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ in them are not His....remember even the devils KNOW there is one God...even the devils (can and do) spout the word of God (twisting it to their own advantage)....they appear as angels of light and ministers of righteousness outwardly but inside are full of dead mens bones....always dig deep and look at the fruit (within ourselves first). A few things I would like to point out here... First, that wasn't a tax. It was dues. Even today, one cannot join a synagogue unless one pays a membership fee. This astonishes most Christians, but just go ask your friendly neighborhood Jew. They pay a membership fee in order to join and participate in a synagogue, else they cannot attend. One signs an actual membership contract, the dues of which are established at one tenth of one's income, and one must provide a valid copy of one's 1040 income tax return to the Synagogue. In New Jersey, this membership contract has the power of legal force, and the courts can demand payment be made. The Synagogue may also borrow money against these pledged membership fees. (They don't mess around with passing out any offering plate.)

First, they didn't ask Jesus. They asked Peter, in order to trick Peter into replying. (It worked.) But note, if Jesus actually HAD payed the Temple Enrollment Dues, he wouldn't have needed to be forced into doing so, now wouldn't he. The dues would already have been paid if Jesus thought them to have been valid. But he didn't. The Children are FREE from this payment. This is why Christian churches do NOT charge a membership fee. So there was no "tax" due. That's why Jesus DIDN'T pay it until his hand was forced. Now did he truly pay this? No. Jesus never said that the membership fee was valid, BUT Jesus knew that others would be offended were they to find out his weren't paid. SO... Jesus DONATED the didrachmon (the double dracma) lest he offend his fellow Jewish brothers.

So no. Jesus didn't pay his taxes because He clearly stated that he was free. But when Peter was tricked, and it would have turned into a scandal, Jesus donated the money so that he would not offend those who could not yet understand that "the children are free."

You'll notice that the text clearly states that this was a trick question - to catch him in his words. Is it lawful to give κῆνσος to Caesar or not? All the Jews knew that the true answer was NO. But if Jesus had merely said no, then the Romans would have had cause right then and there to declare Jesus a terrorist, advocating treason, and arrest him - they would have caught Jesus in his words.

Now look further. Jesus knew of their hypocrisy. But what was this hypocrisy? Their faith and belief that ZION - the land of Judah - was given to Abraham and his descendants by God. So GOD owned the land. God owned the animals. God owned the crops. And the Jews were God's people (not Caesar's people.) EVERYTHING was God's .... NOTHING was Caesar's. Their hypocrisy was to believe that God promised them this land, but they lacked faith, and entered into a treaty with Rome, not relying upon God's promise that ZION was theirs. While claiming to be God's people, they disbelieved that God would protect them, and they sold themselves into the bondage of Rome.

Hypocrisy - saying one thing (all Judea belongs to God) and doing something else (paying tribute to Caesar out of fear.)

When saying RENDER to GOD the things that are GOD's ... Jesus' answer was pure mastery, because every Jew knew that ALL things are God's, and NOTHING was Caesar's.

This truth needs to be learned by the Sons of God today.

Yes, render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, but truly understanding that NOTHING is Caesar's.

Reading through your thread so far, led me to look up the word 'Armour' in the concordance. The reference to armour in Ephesians 6 is the one that we all know so well, isn't it? but I knew there were other references to armour, and wanted to find them. I found the reference in 2 Corinthians 6:7, 'the armour of righteousness'. Here Paul refers to himself, and those who worked alongside him in the ministry as - workers together with God: and their purpose was:- 'to give no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed'. He enjoins those to whom he wrote in Corinth to adopt the same purpose, and for the same reason, that they should be approved unto God.

* Looking at the words, 'IN', 'BY', and 'AS', in the verses above, we see that with the use of the word, 'BY' Paul lists the means whereby he sought to achieve that purpose and endure: it is within this list that the word 'armour' can be found:-

BY knowledge,
BY longsuffering,
BY kindness,
BY the Holy Ghost,
BY love unfeigned,
BY the word of truth,
BY the power of God,
BY the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Looking at this verse above, with it's reference to armour, 'the armour of light': it is interesting to see how the putting on of the armour manifests itself practically in the words that follow, isn't it:-

Let us walk honestly, as in the day
NOT in rioting and drunkenness,
NOT in chambering and wontonness,
NOT in strife and envying.
BUT put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ
and MAKE NOT provision for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.'

Those things associated with darkness and the flesh are clearly shown, and the armour of light expressed as, 'putting on,' the Lord Jesus Christ.

Working out in practical experience what God has worked in, through the Lord Jesus Christ.

I can sin all I want, I can be a homosexual child molester, or a man having multiple affairs on his wife.

This is objectionable on so many levels.

@Bethel has merely pointed out that we are to reckon as God reckons. We are to reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is by reckoning, by faith, on the efficacy of the finished work of Christ, that we can enter into the victory that is in Christ Jesus; and not by self effort. We are to 'put off' the works of darkness, and 'put on' the Lord Jesus Christ: by acknowledging ( by faith ) that when He died, we died in Him, and were buried, quickened and raised with Him, to walk in newness of life before the Father - in Him.

That is victory! Praise God!
