For those not familiar to quaint UK traditions. Welshmen are known for their fantastic singing esp of hymns (and the Welsh revival in 1906); the Scots for their fanatical resistance to part with their money, and we English.... ermmm?

Anyway, an Englishman, Welshman and Scotsman went in a boat to fish out at sea when a great storm hit their boat. So severe was the storm, a watery grave became inevitable. The Welshman burst into song with the hymn 'Eternal Father strong to save...." The Englishman, being a penticostal:wink: , fell to his knees in fervent prayer for deliverance.

The Scotsman, observing all this, in panic dived overboard - he thought they were going to pass the offering box around!

Love it, I am British and totally get it! Good one. (this is all in good humour, no stereotyping here huh?)

lol

Thats good I am Scotish and I am a pretty tight with my money that gene has been in the family for generations and I don't think It will ever go away but thanks for the joke I'll definately nick that from you lol !! laura

 Good joke!!! I enjoyed that. lol, my grandpa on my mother's side said that we are Irish, Welsh, and Scotch. On my dad's side, I'm just Irish. I guess that's why I have a bad temper, love to sing hymns, and I'm tight with my money!

The joke made me laugh, because when my mother was alive, she used to always smile when shopping and say, "I'm so Scotch, I'm so Scotch." To tell the truth, I am glad that I had my mom's example. She was careful with finances. So am I.

God bless us all! Everywhere around the world. :sun:
